1. Rosie
Kitten (2 months 1 day) · Female · American Shorthair (medium coat) · 12 mi from Orlando

Meet beautiful Rosie! Rosie came to me with a tail injury so she required antibiotics and cleaning. She is healed now, but you can see her tail is missing just a tiny little bit of its end...but she is still gorgous! This little girl is smart and adventurous. She will follow us around the house and choose to be in the same room as us. She even chooses to sleep in the bed around our feet!
Read more about Rosie
Rosie actively plays with toys and just loves being around you! She gets along fine with our household cats and she and would be perfect if you want to add another cat to your house. We really want her to have a cat friend in the house to hang around with since she loved playing with her sister who just got adopted. The adoption fee is $50 and that includes the first sets of vaccines, microchip, rabies, FIV/FELV testing, Revolution flea treatment, and spay surgery. OCAS also has a BOGO so if interested, you could look at Kindnessforcats.org for another one to adopt at the same time. If you think she would be the purr-fect fit for your family and home, contact foster mom Patti at shutts5@bellsouth.net or text 407-405-2400 and share a little bit about yourself and where this kitty would be living so that we can set up a meet and greet! I live near Barber Park as a point of reference in the Conway area of Orlando 32812 zipcode.

16. Jack
Kitten (3 months 1 day) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 2 mi from Orlando

Meet Jack — Your Little Jack-O’-Lantern!
Looking for a little sunshine, lots of purring, and a best friend who will melt your heart? Meet Jack, a 3-month-old orange tabby boy with a stunning, tiger-like coat and a purr motor so loud your neighbors might hear it!
Jack is a family-friendly lovebug who wears his heart on his furry sleeve. His loud, happy purr comes with the sweetest little trills and chirps—his own special way of telling you how much he loves being with you!
A Little About Jack:
A Certified Lovebug: Jack loves being near his people. He’ll seek you out just to hang out nearby and keep you company.
Read more about Jack
A Gentle Little Gentleman: Jack has the sweetest way of asking for affection, reaching up with his incredibly soft paws to touch your face for kisses. He's gentle, tender, and absolutely heart-melting!
Only Pet: Jack likes other kittens and cats but maybe too much. When he has a furry playmate, he just wants to play play play and his human is second fiddle. But if he is an only pet, he is like velcro to you. So for this reason, for now we think it might be best if he is adopted as a solo pet.
Your Movie-Night Companion: Settle onto the couch, and Jack will find his way onto a lap. Expect nose kisses, snuggles, and enough purring to make any movie extra cozy!
A Bedtime Bestie: Jack loves sleeping with you or snuggling beside you, soothing you to sleep with his heartwarming purr. Who needs a sound machine when you have Jack?
Playtime His Way: Happy playing independently or joining you for interactive fun, Jack can entertain himself before checking back in with his favorite people.
A Gentle Soul Growing Braver: Jack can be a little nervous around unfamiliar noises, but he’s gaining confidence every day. With patience and love, he’ll continue to blossom. He’s a quiet little guy—until that magnificent purr motor starts!
Why Jack?
Because life is sweeter with an orange kitty curled up in your lap, soft paws reaching for your face, tiny nose kisses, and a purr that melts away the day's stress.
Jack is looking for his people—a family to share movie nights, bedtime snuggles, playful adventures, and all those little everyday moments that make having a cat so special.
Could Jack be your little pumpkin?
Adopt Jack and let this little Jack-O’-Lantern light up your life!

17. Audi
3 Months 1 Day · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 11 mi from Orlando

Audi is an happy little kitten with a non-stop purr. He gets his name due to that constant rythm of purrs when he's around his people. Audi is a typical kitten that loves to play and explore but he also enjoys a good lap and being petted and cuddled. Audi was trapped at a dumpster, where his mom and siblings were trying to survive. He came to us a little bit older, so he was a bit shy at first, but got over it quickly. He now scurries around like any other kitten, looking for pets and love. He likely will need a little extra time with the transition to a new home, but we expect him to come out of his shell quickly as he did with us.He is almost all black, but does have the cutest little white bikini on his underside.

His siblings Portia, Alfa Romeo and Austin are also up for adoption.**** Audi is a pre-adoption candidate, meaning he can't go home right away, he has to be neutered before home delivery. ****

18. Space Camp
Young (4 months 26 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 21 mi from Orlando

Meet Space Camp!
She is one of those rare female gingers and is the shyest and gentlest member of the Camper litter. She can be reserved around new people and may need a little time to feel comfortable, but underneath that cautious exterior is a kind, loving, and happy kitten. Once she feels safe, her purrs begin, her affectionate personality comes through, and she will repay your patience with cuddles and love.
Read more about Space Camp
Space prefers quieter playtime and enjoys small plastic toys, catnip toys, and feather wands. She has not been introduced to dogs but loves being around other cats. Her ideal home would be a calm household with a patient family and a friendly feline companion to help her feel secure.
Space shares an incredibly special bond with her brother, Band Camp. Band is outgoing, playful, and adventurous, while Space is gentle, thoughtful, and reserved. Their personalities perfectly complement each other, and his confidence helps her adjust to new situations. They play together, sleep together, and can often be found cuddling with their paws wrapped around each other. Watching them hug, play, and care for one another is truly wonderful.
Our greatest hope is that Space and Band will be adopted together. Band gives Space confidence and reassurance, while Space gives Band a gentle, loving companion. Adopting them as a pair would allow them to adjust to their new home together while giving their family twice the affection, entertainment, and love.
Space Camp is litter-box trained and uses her kitten scratch boards. She is tested neg /neg for FIV and FeLV, microchipped, spayed, and has completed her age-appropriate vaccinations.
Preference will be given to a family interested in adopting Space Camp and Band Camp together. However, individual adoption may still be considered if the right patient home and suitable feline companionship are available.

19. Band Camp
Young (4 months 26 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 21 mi from Orlando

Meet Band Camp, the most outgoing and energetic member of the Camper litter! This handsome little guy is extremely loving, endlessly curious, and happiest when he is near his people. Band is always ready for playtime, kitten parkour, or an investigation of something new. To him, everything is a toy. His favorites are squishy toys, mylar balls, plastic springs, feather wands, and shoelaces. He also enjoys scratching posts and kitten scratch boards.
Read more about Band Camp
Once playtime is over, Band’s affectionate side takes over. His purr motor is fully installed, and he is an excellent lap cat and snuggle buddy. He loves attention, seeks out human companionship, and will happily curl up with his foster family when he is ready for a nap. Band has not yet been exposed to dogs, but with his confident and social personality, he may do well with a cat-friendly dog after slow and careful introductions. He is gentle enough for pet respectful children age 8 or older. Because he is a quick and energetic kitten who loves racing underfoot, he may not be the best match for an elderly household. Band is litter-box trained and uses his scratching surfaces appropriately. Band is neutered, completed his kitten vaccination series, Rabies vaccs, microchipped, and is FIV neg /FeLV neg.
Preference will be given to a family interested in adopting Band Camp and Space Camp together.
Band shares a special bond with his sister, Space Camp. Band is the confident adventurer, while Space is the sweet, gentle observer. Their personalities perfectly complement each other, and they bring out the best in one another. They play together, sleep together, and can often be found cuddling with their paws wrapped around each other. Band’s confidence helps Space feel safe, while her calm nature gives him a loving companion when playtime is over. Our ideal outcome would be for Band and Space to be adopted together. They are a ready-made family and would enter their new home with a familiar playmate, snuggle partner, and source of comfort. For someone considering two kittens, they truly are a perfect pair.

20. Alfa Romeo
3 Months 1 Day · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Russian Blue / Mixed (short coat) · 11 mi from Orlando

Alfa Romeo is a sweet kitty, just a little untrusting still. His first response to new things is still to hiss first, then explore after. He is warming up more each day, but won't be ready for a home until he gets past this stage and may still need some patience from an adopter. Alfa was trapped at a dumpster, where his mom and siblings were trying to survive. He came to us a little bit older, thus the skepticism about new things. He will require a steady hand to make sure he doesn't become a wallflower kitten that hides all the time. But with patience this boy continues to blossom. His siblings Austin and Portia are also up for adoption.**** Alfa Romeo is a pre-adoption candidate, meaning he can't go home right away, he has to be neutered before home delivery. ****

21. Austin
3 Months 1 Day · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 11 mi from Orlando

Austin is an adventurous, brave kitten mostly focused on play time but he still likes his pets and loves from his humans. He was the first of his siblings to warm up to people and continues to show that confidence on a daily basis - always the first to try something new. Austin was trapped at a dumpster, where his mom and siblings were trying to survive. He came to us a little bit older, so he was a bit shy at first, but got over it quickly, showing his siblings the ropes of how to wrap humans around your little paw. When he does tire out a bit, he can be cuddly, but it doesn't last long before he's off on a new adventure. His siblings Portia and Alfa Romeo are also up for adoption.**** Austin is a pre-adoption candidate, meaning he can't go home right away, he has to be neutered before home delivery. ****

Anyone wanting to adopt one of these animals completes an application form and must submit the form in person at OCAS directly. The adoption for these animals is $40, one of the requirements is verification of pet policy if the potential adoptor rents. The adoption process for animals owned by KFCI is similar but adoption fees vary depending on each individual animal; however we try to keep the fee as close to $40 as possible even if our expenses were significantly more.

How to adopt from 7WHSKRS Cat Rescue, Inc.
All potential adopters are required to fill out an application for consideration. We adopt our cats to the home that is the best fit; we are not first come, first serve rescue. For an application to be approved, the potential adopter must not declaw, allow their pets outside (screened area OK), must have current pets spayed or neutered and combo tested. In addition, anyone who rents must provide proof they are allowed to have a pet and pay any fees in advance. Once approved, we require a contract to finalize the adoption. The potential adopter can take their new family member home as long as all vetting has been completed in advance through our organization (i.e. must be spayed and neutered, must have a clean fecal)
Adopting a cat in Orlando
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
