Read more about Alice

Alice is a sweet and affectionate cat that takes some time getting used to new environments. Initially, she is reserved and shy but once she is comfortable she transforms into a huge cuddle bug that does not get tired of receiving pets. Alice likes getting a lot of attention, playing, exploring, and she is a big foodie. She dislikes dogs who are loud and energetic and she isn’t close with children. Alice needs someone who is patient and dedicated towards building a bond but her devotion and love is worth the time it takes.

Itsy Bitsy and Mothball are the best of friends and are looking for a forever home where they can stay together. Itsy Bitsy, a handsome white boy, is the more timid of the pair. While he can be shy at first, he's friendly, playful, and gains confidence with his best friend by his side. Mothball, a charming black-and-white boy, is calm, easygoing, and loves to nap—but he's always ready for a play session with Itsy.

Because Itsy relies on Mothball for comfort and companionship, they are looking for a home that will welcome them both. Together, they make the perfect balance of playful fun and quiet cuddles. Itsy Bitsy is neutered, and Mothball has not yet been neutered.

Pooky and Jasper are a delightful duo who share a special bond and love spending their days playing together. Pooky, the more outgoing of the two, adores attention, cuddles, and pets (on her terms—she’s not a fan of being picked up!). Jasper is a bit more independent but still enjoys affection when he’s in the mood, and he’s especially fond of catnip, treats, and being carried.

These two balance each other beautifully and are both well-behaved, lovable companions. They would do best in a home that appreciates their unique personalities and allows them to thrive together.

Adopting a cat in Collier County

Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.

Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.

Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
