4. Dune
You can apply for Dune at www.ladyluckanimalrescue.org under the “Adopt/Foster” Tab.
Dune is a domestic shorthair orange tabby male kitten, born approximately April 15, 2026. He was found living outdoors with his mom and sister, Turtle, under a foreclosed home, where the little family had been surviving together. Lady Luck Animal Rescue quickly came to their aid, providing the guidance and support they needed and taking the lead on finding each of them the perfect forever home. Dune is an exceptionally beautiful boy. His orange coat is covered in distinctive swirls and markings that look like patterns in the sand dunes, making his name a perfect fit.
Read more about Dune
With his light eyes and angelic little face, there’s something especially striking about him. A little shy at first, he’s gaining confidence every day. What started as uncertainty in his new surroundings has given way to playing, exploring and becoming increasingly comfortable with the people around him. One of his favorite things is the play tube he shares with his sister. But for a kitten, he’s also remarkably chill—there’s an almost old-soul quality about him. Gentle, sweet and playful, this little guy has come a long way from his life outdoors. With a little patience and lots of love, he’ll continue building his confidence and showing more of his wonderful personality.
Dune is neutered, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested negative, fecal tested negative, dewormed, and vaccinated (including rabies). He is fostered in Hollywood, FL.

5. Turtle
You can apply for Turtle at www.ladyluckanimalrescue.org under the “Adopt/Foster” Tab.
Turtle is a tortoiseshell female kitten born approximately April 15, 2026. Her story began outdoors. She was discovered with her mom and brother, Dune, taking shelter beneath a foreclosed home. When the little family needed help, Lady Luck Animal Rescue graciously and immediately stepped in to provide guidance, support and oversee their adoption process. This beautiful little tortie seems to get prettier by the day. More and more orange is emerging throughout her dark coat as she grows, making her already distinctive tortie markings even more striking.
Read more about Turtle
Her big, expressive eyes and tiny, sweet face only add to her beauty. Playful, curious and full of personality, she already has some of that famous tortie attitude. When she gets excited, she wags her tail so enthusiastically that her whole little butt wiggles along with it. Her playful side really takes over when Dune is around. Their beloved tube is the center of countless games of hide-and-seek, with the two popping in and out and chasing each other around. True to her name, this tiny girl is slowly but surely coming out of her shell. Give her a little patience and the chance to feel safe on her own terms, and you’ll get the joy of watching more of that sweet—and slightly sassy—personality emerge every day.
Turtle is spayed, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested negative, fecal tested negative, dewormed, and vaccinated (including rabies). She is fostered in Hollywood, FL.

Hi, I'm Cocoa Truffle and

my sis, Calypso. We were born a gang of five

Adopting a cat with children in Coral Gables
Bring the whole family to meet the cat before you adopt, and ask the rescue how the cat behaves around children your kids' ages.
Teach children to let the cat come to them, to stroke gently, and to leave the cat alone while it's eating, sleeping or using the litter box. Give the cat a high or quiet spot to retreat to.
Relaxed adult cats are often a better match for young children than kittens, which scratch and nip while they play.
