27. Froggy

Young (1 year 8 months) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Froggy is a friendly, sweet young cat. He got his name because when he would jump around in the driveway of the lady who saved him he looked like a frog. He is learning to enjoy pets and although he may seem a bit apprehensive at first once he feels the warmth of your touch he melts right into your hand and the purr motor begins to rev.

Here is an adoption bio for Charles that highlights his charming, curious personality and unique mustache:
Meet Charles: The Suave Explorer with a Dapper Mustache
If my brothers were a bit cautious about human life, I’m the one who steps out first to say, "Hold on, let me inspect this room." I’m definitely the brave explorer of our crew, though I still need a kind, gentle family to help me fully blossom into the confident house cat I’m destined to be!
My brothers and I had a tough start after being left abandoned outside a hotel—we were skinny, covered in fleas, and not too sure about people. But look at me now! I’ve traded the streets for soft beds, regular meals, and photoshoots where I get to showcase my absolute best feature: my unique half-mustache and chin smudge. (Yes, I styled it myself.)
While I’m much bolder than my brothers and love investigating new sights and sounds, I still have a shy side. I’m looking for a patient home that will let me explore at my own pace and celebrate every new milestone with me.
My Fast Facts:
Age: [Insert estimated birthdate]
Coloring: Black-and-white Tuxedo with an iconic, asymmetrical mustache pattern.
Specialty Skills: Brave room inspections, polite loafing, looking extraordinarily distinguished in photos, and curious room-scouting.
Current Status: Living it up at Heidi’s Legacy Dog Rescue while waiting for my forever family.
Ideal Home: A supportive, patient home—with or without another friendly pet—where I can continue gaining confidence and showing off my curious, loving personality.
If you’re looking for a handsome, inquisitive little guy who just needs a nudge of love to completely come out of his shell, I’m your gentleman. Apply to adopt Charles today!

Meet August: Professional Corner Decorator & Wall-Flower Extraordinaire
If you come into the room, you might notice me using my master-level hide-and-seek skills: crouching into the nearest corner and pretending I am a statue. It’s not that I’m trying to be rude—I’m just a sensitive soul working through some big-world jitters!
My brothers and I didn't get the easiest start in life. We were found abandoned outside a hotel, skinny, covered in fleas, and thoroughly convinced that humans were bad news. While I’ve come a long way since those rough street days, taking in the scene from a safe corner is still my comfort zone.
As you can see from my glamorous photoshoot (where I bravely held onto a human shoulder and snuggled up with a Giant Rainbow Unicorn), I am actually a gentle, handsome grey-and-white gentleman who wants to be loved—I'm just waiting for the right person to show me it's safe.
My Fast Facts:
Age: Est approx bithday 6/9/2026
Coloring: Dapper Grey Tuxedo with a signature white nose stripe and tiny white socks.
Specialty Skills: Ninja-level corner crouching, adorable wide-eyed staring, and clinging to giant plush unicorns for emotional support.
Current Status: Available through Heidi’s Legacy Dog Rescue (because even a cat of my caliber can appreciate a great rescue).
Ideal Home: Quiet, patient, and low-key. I need a home with humans who understand that slow progress is the best progress, and who will celebrate every little step I take out of my shell.
If you have a quiet corner, a warm heart, and plenty of patience, I might just end up being the most rewarding companion you’ve ever earned the trust of. Apply to adopt August today!

Adopting a cat in Pasco County

Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.

Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
