Kid-Friendly Cats for Adoption in Wellington, FL: 20 Cats Good with Children

I also get along with other cats, so I’m happy to share my world with feline friends. But don’t let my adventurous side fool you — I’m also a world-class snuggler! I love laps, being wherever you are, and snuggling under bed covers like your own personal little sleeping buddy. In fact, I might just try to convince you that staying in bed with me is the best plan for the entire day. And honestly… can you blame me? My dream is to be your loyal little shadow, your cozy cuddle companion, your friendly greeter, and your partner in all of life’s little adventures. Wherever you go, I’ll want to be right there beside you! If you’re looking for a sweet, social, playful, and loving boy with a big fluffy tail and an even bigger heart, I might just be your Lex-ceptional match! All I need is a lap to love, a toy to chase, and a human to call my own. Could that be you?
Lex is neutered, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested negative, fecal tested negative, dewormed, and vaccinated (including rabies). He is fostered in Wellington, FL.

Pax loves his people and wants to be part of whatever they’re doing. He’ll greet you at the door, follow you around the house, offer enthusiastic headbutts, and rub against your legs asking for attention. When he’s ready to wind down, he’s more than happy to curl up on your lap while you watch TV and fall fast asleep.
Playtime is Pax’s love language. He’s a big fan of interactive toys, particularly his beloved octopus wand (he jumps SUPER high trying to catch it!), motorized toys, and a stuffed duckie he’s had since he was a tiny kitten. He will bring you a toy whenever he’s ready to play! He’s an enthusiastic climber and loves finding the highest spot in the house to survey his kingdom. A tall cat tree, window perches, and plenty of opportunities to climb, jump, and explore are essential for this adventurous boy.
Pax is also a self-appointed food inspector. He LOVES mealtime and gets extremely vocal and affectionate while you are preparing his dish. If you’re enjoying a meal, you can expect him nearby, carefully monitoring your plate in case something happens to fall. He will happily do just about anything for a squeeze treat, which makes trimming his nails so quick and easy!
What does Pax’s perfect home look like? Pax would thrive with someone who has plenty of love, patience, and time to devote to him. He’s an active, social cat who needs interactive play, mental stimulation, and opportunities to burn off his abundant energy.
His dream home would ideally include another young, energetic, playful cat who actually wants a wrestling buddy. Pax absolutely loves trying to play with our other cat, but unfortunately, he keeps trying to play with her while she anxiously runs away. He has a hard time accepting that she isn’t interested, and their personalities simply aren’t a good match. This is the only reason we’re looking for a new home for him. We love him dearly and want him to have a life where he can truly thrive with a playmate!
Pax has a mischievous streak, so his future family should be prepared for a curious little explorer who enjoys investigating cabinets, hopping onto tables, hiding in boxes, and occasionally chewing artificial plants/flowers.
Pax has always been an indoor cat, although he absolutely loves spending time on our enclosed patio, watching the world and taking in all the interesting sights and smells. He’d love a secure catio or enclosed outdoor space in his next home, but only if his humans are nearby to keep him company!
A few more things about Pax - Pax is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He reliably uses his litter box. Although he is great with our toddler, toddlers can be unpredictable and he would do best with older kids or adults with another playful cat. He hasn’t lived with dogs, so we’re unsure how he’d do with them.
Above all, Pax is a lovable, goofy, affectionate little character with so much personality to share. He needs a family who will embrace his enthusiasm for life, enjoy his endless curiosity, provide plenty of playtime, and appreciate the cuddly sweetheart underneath all that energy.
