1. Nova

Adult · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 19 mi from Flower Mound

As cats go, Nova can brag that she's a little bit of everything. She's playful and curious, but she's also independent and easy-going at times. She's litter box trained and uses her scratching post, but she also enjoys being the center of attention.

Her favorite toy is all of them. Nova will spend hours playing, moving from one toy to another. Sometimes she'll play with people but sometimes she'll keep herself entertained. She'll squeeze in a quick nap when she's ready and then get back to the fun. She's also recently discovered the joy of sitting in a window and bird watching.

She'll wave hello with her paw, and her personality is spunky and sparkly! While she's still awaiting her first face-to-face interaction with other cats and dogs, Nova's curiosity to the sounds and activity she hears makes her optimistic that they will love her. How can they not? She's got it all!

Mandy is a sweet loving cuddly kitty who will follow your hand until it continues petting her; She is a beautiful long haired mix of grays with ear and feet tufts showing that one of her parents was probably a maine coon. 7. Anna

Young · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 19 mi from Flower Mound

Anna Banana is a quiet, dainty girl who takes a little time to warm up. Give her a little patience, plenty of snacks, and maybe a Churu, and watch her become your little bestie.

Truly, the way to Anna Banana's heart is through her stomach. Her siblings may be twice her size, but she'll happily shove her way to the front of the line and let everyone know that the treat is clearly meant for her. She's usually soft-spoken, but when mealtime rolls around, she'll be sure to let you know she's hungry! Lately, her favorite way to unwind is curling up on a cozy chair.

10. Rosemary

Adult · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 19 mi from Flower Mound

Rosemary is the definition of grace. She has been through a lot of change, but no matter where she goes, she's the most gentle and sweet cat that greets everyone with love.

She's a calm and easygoing companion who loves to explore her surroundings and be a part of your life. If you had a hard week, she'll intentionally seek you out and lay down next to you. She's incredibly gentle with you and you can pick her up and carry her around the house as she does not use her claws.

Read more about Rosemary

Rosemary has the sweetest, soft meows and will tell you when she would like a snack or some attention. Food is definitely her love language. She recently discovered Churus and her life is changed.

While she's a mostly laid back lady, she has a playful side when you bring out a string wand toy. But her most favorite toy she's obsessed with are the toy mice that she'll run around the house to play with. She's independent enough to entertain herself as she loves to look out the window, but affectionate enough to make you feel loved every day.

This animal is FeLV+. Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), is a virus that attacks the immune system of a cat. Cats with FeLV can live normal, happy, healthy lives - but they have a shorter life expectancy than FeLV negative cats. Over time, an infected cat's health may progressively deteriorate or he/she may experience repeating cycles of illness and relative health. Close monitoring and regular vet care are important to manage the disease.

Any close contact among cats can spread FeLV, including bite wounds, mutual grooming, or sharing feeding dishes and litter boxes, so they should be housed without other cats or only with other FeLV+ cats. Because DPA believes these special cats still deserve to live out their lives in a loving home, the adoption fee for FeLV+ cats will be discounted 50%.

He'll also be sure to let you know when it's time for dinner!

Read more about Sven

Sven is playful and curious. He loves every toy and scratching post he can find and is perfectly happy entertaining himself as he bounces from one adventure to the next. While he's independent, he's also incredibly affectionate. When playtime is over, he'll happily curl up with you for cuddles and nonstop purrs. He's also confident and loves to greet guests as well as play well with small kiddos. He's very vocal and loves to tell you all the things and he loves loves Churus very very much!

He's also wonderfully well-mannered. Sven lives with a large senior dog and is so respectful of his space, often choosing to simply sit beside him instead of bouncing all over him. With other cats, he loves to wrestle with his siblings and reads their cues well, making him a great feline companion.

Out of all his siblings, Sven has been an absolute joy to foster. He's easygoing, loving, adaptable, and has the sweetest temperament. His resilience, intelligence, and affectionate nature make him a truly special kitten

Bringing a cat home to your dog

Tell the rescue about your dog: their size, age and energy. A cat who has lived with a calm dog may still be nervous around a bouncy puppy.

Introduce them slowly. Keep the cat in a room of their own for the first few days, swap bedding so they get used to each other's scent, and then let them meet with the dog on a leash.

Make sure the cat can always get somewhere the dog can't reach, and keep the litter box and food bowls out of the dog's way.
