1. Max
Young (6 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 2 mi from Pensacola

Max showed up at a colony with a mother cat and six kittens, only a kitten herself. She was looking for a home, but the colony wouldn’t let her near. Any human who walked by became her new best friend and her hope for a home, and she’d follow them down the block. Finally, the right people came by, volunteers from our neighborhood cat group, and she ran right up to say hi, leaving her lost outdoor days behind her. Max is a highly social, smart little girl who loves people and has never met a stranger. She loves to play and explore, and her favorite game is pouncing on your feet and grabbing them to play, always gently and never hard enough to hurt. She takes good care of her shy little foster sister, Sweet Pea, and is a good, protective big sister. It would be great if these two best friends could find a home together.

2. Sweet Pea
Young (6 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 2 mi from Pensacola

Sweet Pea is a foundling who was wandering East Pensacola Heights all by herself at just weeks old. She was scooped up by a caring neighbor, where she even made friends with their golden retriever, and later moved in with another same-aged foundling, Max, to help her with her shyness. She’s a very quiet kitty with a very gentle purr, and while she is initially distrustful of humans, she is never aggressive. She approaches for scritches and treats, loves to play feather on a stick, adores little fuzzy ball toys and balls in a track she can push around, hides under blankets and boxes, and likes to “ack ack” at the hummingbirds.
Read more about Sweet Pea
Sweet Pea has hypermobile front ankles that look a little bendy, almost like she’s double-jointed. She’s been seen by a vet, and it’s cosmetic only and doesn’t impact her whatsoever; she runs, jumps, and plays like any other kitty. She’s just our extra bendy Elastic Girl! With the help of her bravery blanket, it’s been so fun to watch this shy kitty bloom and grow. She and Max are total opposites in the sweetest way: Max is the outgoing social butterfly, and Sweet Pea is the calm, gentle soul of the pair, still very playful and curious. They play together all day and cuddle up to sleep together. Sweet Pea would prefer a quiet home where she can be someone’s special baby, and it would be great if she and her best friend Max could find a home together.

3. Izzy
Kitten (1 month 21 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 35 mi from Pensacola

Meet Izzy, Our Sweet Little Tuxedo Tabby!
Izzy is an adorable 7-week-old grey tabby girl with beautiful white tuxedo markings and the sweetest little personality! When Izzy was rescued, one of her eyes had a very severe ulcer. Thankfully, with medication, time, and lots of care, her eye has improved significantly! It will always have some scarring, but the scarring does not cause her pain or affect her ability to enjoy life. Izzy has been through a lot for such a tiny girl, and she is ready to leave her rough start behind and find a family of her very own.
Read more about Izzy
This sweet girl absolutely loves attention and cuddles. She is affectionate, loving, and always happy to have someone fuss over her. But when the toys come out, watch out! Izzy is an excellent little hunter who loves to stalk, chase, and pounce on her toys. She has the perfect combination of snuggly sweetness and playful kitten energy, making her a wonderful little companion.
Izzy is FIV/FeLV negative, vaccinated for her age, and dewormed. She will be spayed and microchipped before adoption. Her adoption fee is $200.
Izzy deserves a family who will see what a special little girl she is and love her for exactly who she is. Her eye may have a little scar, but it certainly hasn’t dimmed her sweet spirit! She can be adopted separately from her sister, so she can find her own perfect forever home.
Please remember: Unless otherwise specified, all our kittens and cats are strictly indoor pets.
If you’re interested in adoption, please visit straylovefoundation.org and complete an adoption application.
Every rescue in our care receives comprehensive vetting, which includes:

We take every possible step to ensure their health and happiness, giving them the best chance at a long, fulfilling life.
While we do everything in our power to provide healthy rescues, it's important to note that some animals may have genetic health conditions we cannot predict (since we don’t have their family history). Additionally, medical tests—though highly reliable—can occasionally yield false negatives. Unexpected health issues may arise, either before or after adoption, but thanks to our thorough vetting process, the likelihood of a long and healthy life is very high.
Additional adoption details:
Transportation fees, if applicable, vary based on distance and expenses.
Home checks may be conducted.
Our standard tax-deductible adoption donation is $200.
For special breeds, uniquely colored, or exceptionally adorable rescues, we may request a higher donation to help cover vet expenses.

5. Pepper
Kitten (2 months 29 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Bombay / Mixed (short coat) · 35 mi from Pensacola

Meet Pepper, Your Future Fluffy Little Shadow!
Pepper is a handsome 12-week-old solid black fluffy boy with gorgeous green eyes and one extra-special feature: a crooked tail! This sweet boy has a little something extra that makes him even more unique.
Pepper’s story started when he and his siblings came into our care with their mama when they were just hours old. Sadly, their mom became sick and passed away when the babies were only 3 weeks old. Pepper and his sisters then went to a wonderful foster home, where they were loved, spoiled, and given all the care they needed to grow into the happy, healthy kittens they are today.
Read more about Pepper
Now, Pepper is ready to find a family of his very own! He is playful, sweet, and curious, with plenty of kitten energy and love to share. Whether he’s exploring his surroundings, playing with his favorite toys, or soaking up attention, this fluffy little guy is sure to bring plenty of joy to his forever home.
Pepper is neutered, vaccinated for his age, microchipped, and on prevention. He is FeLV negative but is currently testing positive for FIV. Since Pepper is only 12 weeks old, his positive test may be due to antibodies passed to him by his mother rather than an actual FIV infection. Kittens born to FIV-positive mothers can test positive while those maternal antibodies remain in their systems, and many will test negative once the antibodies naturally clear. Pepper should be retested around 6 months of age, and there is a good chance he will test negative at that time!
Even if Pepper remains FIV positive, he can still live a long, happy, healthy life. FIV is typically transmitted through deep bite wounds, so it is not easily spread through normal interactions like sharing food and water, grooming, playing, or snuggling. FIV-positive cats can make wonderful companions and enjoy a great quality of life!
Pepper has come such a long way from that tiny newborn who needed extra care, and now it’s time for his next chapter! Could you be the one to give this special, crooked-tailed boy his happily ever after? His adoption fee is $200.
Please remember: Unless otherwise specified, all our kittens and cats are strictly indoor pets.

6. Vanilla
Kitten (2 months 8 days) · Female · Domestic Medium Hair / Tuxedo / Mixed (medium coat) · 35 mi from Pensacola

Meet Vanilla, a beautiful 12-week-old fluffy black and white little girl who is the lighter-colored sister, with more white than her sister Domino! Vanilla is a playful, curious little explorer who absolutely loves attention. She enjoys climbing, investigating everything around her, and showing off her kitten personality before curling up for some serious snuggle-and-nap time. She is good with cats, dogs, and kids and is already litter box trained.
Read more about Vanilla
Vanilla is spayed, vaccinated for her age, microchipped, and on prevention. She is FeLV negative but is currently testing positive for FIV. Since Vanilla is only 12 weeks old, this positive test may be due to antibodies passed to her by her mother rather than an actual FIV infection. Vanilla should be retested around 6 months of age, and there is a very good chance she will test negative at that time.

Vanilla’s adoption fee is $200. She would love to find a forever family where she can spend her days playing, exploring, climbing, and then curling up in your lap for a well-earned kitten nap!

7. Domino
Kitten (2 months 8 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Tuxedo / Mixed (medium coat) · 35 mi from Pensacola

Meet Domino, a gorgeous 12-week-old fluffy black and white little girl who has a little more black than her sister Vanilla! Domino is an absolute sweetheart who loves attention, playtime, climbing, and exploring every corner she can find. When all that kitten energy finally catches up with her, she is more than happy to snuggle in for a cozy nap. She is good with cats, dogs, and kids and is litter box trained, making her a wonderful little addition to just about any family.
Read more about Domino
Domino is spayed, vaccinated for her age, microchipped, and on prevention. She is FeLV negative but is currently testing positive for FIV. Because she is still so young, this does not necessarily mean she is truly infected with FIV. Kittens can test positive because they have received FIV antibodies from their mother, and these maternal antibodies can remain in their system for several months. Domino should be retested around 6 months of age, and there is a very good chance she will test negative once those maternal antibodies have cleared.
Even if a cat does remain FIV positive, FIV is not a reason to overlook a wonderful cat. FIV-positive cats can live long, happy, healthy lives, and the virus is typically transmitted from cat to cat through deep bite wounds. It is not easily spread through normal household interactions such as sharing food bowls, grooming, playing, or cuddling.
Domino’s adoption fee is $200. She is ready to fill her forever home with kitten antics, cuddles, and plenty of love!

Kitten (1 month 15 days) · Female · Tabby / Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 35 mi from Pensacola

Meet Edwin: a A social butterfly who stands out from the pack!
Edwina was brought to our porch by her mom along with 3 siblings when she was about 4 weeks old. We took her in to be TNR'd, but she had such a sweet personality; we felt she would be a wonderful companion. She loves being around humans and is comfortable around dogs and cats, along with our Roomba vacuum cleaner. She will actively seek affection, going from person to person until she gets the preferred amount, which typically involves a lap. Her fur is incredibly soft, and she purrs when petted. She will follow people from room to room and loves to be part of the moment. So if you are looking for a sweet, soft best friend to follow you everywhere, then Edwina is your girl!

13. Opal
Kitten (4 months 10 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Torbie / Mixed (short coat) · 35 mi from Pensacola

Meet Opal!
Opal is a stunning 14-week-old torbie girl who is absolutely beautiful inside and out. She can be a little shy when she first meets someone and needs a bit of time to warm up, but once she feels comfortable, her playful personality comes shining through. She is ready to find her person and become someone's new best friend!
Read more about Opal
Opal does have a unique genetic abnormality called pectus excavatum. This is a condition where the ribs grow inward more than normal, creating a sunken appearance to the chest. In Opal's case, it is non-painful and has not slowed her down at all. Most of the time, you would never even realize there is anything different about her. She runs, plays, and enjoys life just like any other kitten.
Opal has been spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and is on parasite prevention. Her adoption fee is $200.
If you're willing to give this beautiful girl a little time to warm up and let her show you what a wonderful companion she can be, Opal may be the perfect match for you!

Additionally, medical tests—though highly reliable—can occasionally yield false negatives. Unexpected health issues may arise, either before or after adoption, but thanks to our thorough vetting process, the likelihood of a long and healthy life is very high.

6 Months · Female · Domestic Medium Hair / Tortoiseshell / Mixed (medium coat) · 9 mi from Pensacola

Anna & her litter were found in a box off the side of the road. They were cautious of humans at first (i wonder why?) but are learning to trust, love and play in foster. Anna is very playful and enjoys the laser light as well as climbing up the cat tree. She is warming up to human affection but not a fan of being picked up yet. She really enjoys the company of other cats and she is often caught rubbing up on the dogs. You can see the Tortie-tude on her face.

Bringing a cat home to your dog
Tell the rescue about your dog: their size, age and energy. A cat who has lived with a calm dog may still be nervous around a bouncy puppy.
Introduce them slowly. Keep the cat in a room of their own for the first few days, swap bedding so they get used to each other's scent, and then let them meet with the dog on a leash.
Make sure the cat can always get somewhere the dog can't reach, and keep the litter box and food bowls out of the dog's way.
