6. Aj
Adult · Male · Munchkin / Selkirk Rex (medium coat) · 88 mi from Chattanooga

Hello! I’m MAC (DOB: ~07/31/2023), a male Chocolate and White Lambkin, also known as a Nanus Rex, a hybrid cat originally created by crossing the short-legged Munchkin with the curly-coated Selkirk Rex. My outstanding features are my small size, short legs, and soft, beautiful coat, making me a member of one of the rarest cat breeds. When I first meet you, I can be a bit shy and withdrawn, but once I learn to trust and feel comfortable in my new home, I can be sociable, affectionate, and enjoy my human company. I need a devoted cat parent who enjoys spending time with me as much as I enjoy spending time with them.
Read more about Aj
My grooming requirements aren’t too heavy. This is because my fur is soft, so gentle brushing a few times a week should suffice to keep my coat knot and mat free. And, I love my treats – when I hear you shake the bag, I’ll come running, will eat them all, and will then ask for more – and that’s how you can earn my trust!! I am neutered, up-to-date with vaccines, FIV/FeLV negative, dewormed, have received flea preventative, and am microchipped. My adoption fee is $350.00.

7. Phoenix
Adult (7 years 11 months) · Female · Domestic Long Hair / Tabby / Mixed (long coat) · 77 mi from Chattanooga

Phoenix is a courtesy listing, not in the AARF foster program, and we are posting online to help the owner find a home. Please visit https://aarf-tn.com/adopt/cat-adoption-application/ to apply.
Read more about Phoenix
Phoenix, is a petite, fluffy gray tabby with a heart as sweet as her soft fur! This lovely 7–9-year-old girl is a laid-back, timid soul who takes her time warming up to new people, but once she chooses you, it’s something special. Phoenix enjoys spending much of her day snoozing in a cozy hiding spot and comes out to play when the house gets quiet at night. She’s happy to entertain herself with anything small enough to catch her paws, but one of her favorite things is curling up on the bed and keeping your feet warm with her cuddles. Phoenix prefers affection on her own terms, so you may need to seek her out for some love until she feels comfortable enough to come asking for pets herself. She currently lives with another cat, two small dogs, and a toddler, whom she mostly ignores. Because she’s sensitive to loud noises and enjoys a peaceful environment, Phoenix would likely thrive in a quieter home where she can relax, settle in at her own pace, and blossom into the affectionate companion she’s meant to be. If you have a little patience and a lot of love to give, Phoenix may just decide you’re her person!

8. Betty White
Young · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Tabby / Mixed · 80 mi from Chattanooga

SHAKESPEARE THEMED MOMMA: Approx. 2 years old / Approx. 8.5 lbs.
Hi, my name is Betty White! I came to Mostly Mutts while I was pregnant, and they got me into a great foster home. Boy, am I glad they did—as I soon gave birth to NINE kittens! I’ve now raised my babies, and they have all gone to great homes. It is my turn to be a much-loved member of a wonderful family! Plan to meet me soon and see if we are a great furever match!

• OTHER CATS/DOGS/KIDS: I don’t currently live with another kitty, but I may enjoy another kitty in my new home. If you have a nice kitty at home who may enjoy a furry friend, we will likely live well together! / Dogs unknown / I love the kids in my foster home (ages 6 & 13). Children in my new home may be nice, since I am a playful kitty. Best they are gentle and know how to handle a kitty, and—of course, let’s meet!
• PERSONALITY INFORMATION: I’m a very sweet girl who enjoys having my own space and doing my own thing! I’ll come over for a minute or two of pets and affection, then I’m off to enjoy my independence. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, independent kitty who will keep you entertained and happily share your home, I might just be your girl!
• SKILLS/LITTER TRAINED STATUS: I keep my area clean, as I am litter trained.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: One of my favorite pastimes is sitting by the window and watching the world go by. When I’m ready to play, look out! I love chasing feathers on a string, batting marbles around, and even attacking those mysterious feet moving under the blankets. I also prefer drinking my water from glass because a girl knows what she likes! / I can't think of any dislikes since I am a kitten, but I would not like it if I didn't get the love and attention all kitties deserve!
• MEDICAL: I'm current on my annual vaccinations, micro-chipped, combo tested negative and spayed.
I am looking for a great family to give me a loving home! My adoption fee is $175.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

A SWEET AND LOVING GUY: Approx. 2.5 years old / Approx. 12.5 lbs.
Hi, my name is Arthur! I was adopted from Mostly Mutts a couple of years ago, but—unfortunately—changes in my family situation caused me to end up back at Mostly Mutts. • OTHER CATS/DOGS/KIDS: I got along well with the kitties I met in my previous home, so a kitty friend in my new home may be nice. / Dogs unknown / I reportedly liked the kids I met in my previous home, but I don’t remember their ages. Children in my new home may be nice, but best they are gentle and know how to handle a kitty, and—of course, let’s meet!
• PERSONALITY INFORMATION: I may have been a little nervous at the shelter, but once I got into a wonderful foster home and had a chance to settle in, I quickly showed my loving personality! I’d really like to be a lap cat, but I’m a big boy and my foster’s lap is a little on the small side. No worries, though! I’m just as happy snuggling right up against your side and enjoying some cozy time together. All I really want is to be loved, and I have plenty of love to give in return! Affectionate and loving, I welcome attention from my people and will give purrs of appreciation.
• SKILLS/LITTER TRAINED STATUS: I keep my area clean, as I am litter trained.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I’m a big sweetheart who loves being petted, adored, and showered with affection. Give me some belly rubs, and I’ll happily roll over to soak up all the love! / I can’t think of any dislikes, but I would not be happy if I did not get the love and attention all kitties deserve!

10. Sweet Pea
Adult · Female · Siamese (short coat) · 83 mi from Chattanooga

Hi, my name is Sweet Pea. I’m a 5-year-old seal-point Siamese who had a pretty rough life so far. My mom died and my dad didn’t want me any more. He put me outside and I was living under the porch where I got into a tussle with something. I’m not sure what, but it bit me on the shoulder and it really hurt. It got infected, which hurt even more. At least my dad took me to the vet, but he left me there. I think that was for the best because the vet’s office was so nice. Everyone there petted me and loved on me and called SARG to rescue me! Now I’m in foster care looking for my forever home.
Things you should know about me: I love making biscuits, rubbing up against my person, and I’m quick to purr.
Read more about Sweet Pea
But I’m a little shy with new people. I spend my days watching YouTube for cats! And my nights sleeping under the covers with my foster mom! It keeps me warm and makes me feel safe. But I do like to chase a string toy now and again, and I’ll do just about anything for a treat! My fur is super soft and the patches the doctor had to shave off to make me better are growing in nicely. I’m a little nervous with sudden movements and loud noises, so I would probably do best in a home without children or dogs. If you think you’re the right fit, fill out an application. I’d love to meet you.

Introducing WALL-E... DOB est 7/24/2024, male, medium-haired, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped...
Read more about Wall-E
This striking medium-haired tabby boy with the bold stripes, was rescued this past Summer from the garden center at a local Walmart... Yep, that inspired his name! WALL-E had been roaming around this garden center for over 6 months, often lying down under the flower tables and waiting for food from Walmart employees. It was eventually realized that he needed more care - he had eye and ear infections, and matted fur all over his body. Due to the lack of brushing and care, his formerly fluffy tail had to be shaved because of mats. It's going to be SO glorious when it grows back in!! Add to that his ear tufts and the floofiness on his neck/chest... this young boy is totally ADORABLE!! He's a super friendly sweetheart who enjoys attention from people, is very affectionate, and a definite favorite of his foster mom's! WALL-E is clearly grateful to no longer need to fend for himself, having lived a rather rough outdoor life!! He also does well with other nice cats and is ready to be spoiled in a Forever Home of his very own!!
If you're interested in meeting WALL-E, please EMAIL info@ffhsv.org or go ahead and fill out an application to adopt, at the link above!

They joined an incredible foster home Fall 2025 and all were Adopted - FIZZ and his brother WHISKEY were Adopted Together in January 2026. They have been returned to us now however, due to the family relocating - not through any fault of their own! FIZZ is a floofy cutie who LOVES his brother & playing!!! These boys are young and energetic and total sweethearts!! We definitely want them to stay together!! They've been around other cats as well as dogs, and should blend well into any loving home. You can see more of him at the Love & Hisses Facebook Page from postings last Fall! We'll Share new photos here, when available - but at the moment they're going to need some time to decompress with their move into a busy foster home that is a sudden big change for them. Please EMAIL info@ffhsv.org to arrange to meet FIZZ & WHISKEY, and/or you may fill out an Application at the link above!

Why adopt an adult cat in Chattanooga
An adult cat's personality is fully formed, so the rescue can tell you how they are with people, other pets and busy households. Many have lived in foster homes and are used to family life.
Grown cats are calmer and need less supervision than kittens, which suits people who work long hours or have young children.
