1. Lexi and Poppy

Kitten (2 months 15 days) · Female · Domestic Long Hair (long coat) · 9 mi from Pittsburg

Adopt Lexi & Poppy! Lexi and Poppy have two different mamas, but one shared love of companionship. The first day they met, they bonded and became instant besties, with endless purrs.

Lexi (female, long-haired black with a bit of smoky grey, born 8/9/26) went for a few wild rides underneath vehicles after seeking warmth on a couple of cold nights. She was miraculously unharmed but slightly terrified, and she quickly transformed into a social, loving kitten with silky soft fur.

Poppy (female, orange and white tabby, born 8/1/26) lost her entire family to wild critters. She was too weak to eat at first, but she miraculously recovered and turned into a burst of sunshine. She’s very social and energetic.

If you’re ready to give these joyful little kittens a home together, contact their sponsor, Marilyn, at marileealong@comcast.net, or their foster, Nicole, at (925) 980-8126. Located in Contra Costa County, CA.

3. Squeakie and Sweetie

Kitten (4 months 3 days) · Male · Domestic Long Hair / Bombay (long coat) · 9 mi from Pittsburg

Adopt Squeakie (m) and Sweetie (f!) Born on 6/20/26, Squeakie and Sweetie are ready for a cuddle puddle with you!

They were found in a Walnut Creek backyard, where their mama brought them each day to be fed, and they would watch through the glass door asking for the soft inside life. They had early interaction with humans, so they love attention and being held. They are curious, bright, very trusting kittens with magnificent glossy black coats and golden soulful eyes.

Sweetie is a true cat's cat. She loves lounging in the window, quietly observing her kingdom. She likes you to come to her, and when you ask for snuggles, she happily gives them.

Read more about Squeakie and Sweetie

Squeakie brings pure golden retriever energy. He's always ready to chase a ball, and he lives up to his name: he'll squeak at you until you pick him up for love. The moment he's in your arms, those squeaks turn into the loudest purr you've ever heard. He'll curl up in your lap for hours, soaking up every bit of love and attention.

Together they go wild for the feather wand, chasing ribbons, and batting a ball around. But their favorite activity is licking Churu right off your fingers! They do great with kids and other cats, and will probably do well with a cat-friendly dog.

Are these the coolest cats ever? Yes! Squeakie and Sweetie are bonded and adore each other, so need to stay together. Will you be their forever home?

5. Sam

Adult · Male · Maine Coon / Domestic Long Hair / Mixed (long coat) · 12 mi from Pittsburg

Meet Sam — A Big, Beautiful Hunk of Love!
Sam is a gorgeous, approximately 4-year-old boy who is looking for a quiet, pet-free home where he can be the one and only. ❤️
We’ve discovered that Sam really doesn’t enjoy sharing his space with other cats. Living in a multiple-cat household has been stressful for him, and unfortunately, that stress has brought out some behavior that isn’t typical of the loving boy he truly is. He has let us know loud and clear that he would much rather have his humans all to himself!
Once he has a peaceful environment where he feels safe and secure, Sam is a very loving, affectionate kitty who enjoys attention and companionship.

Read more about Sam

He has so much love to give and would make a wonderful, faithful companion for someone looking for a best friend with four paws.
✨ Sam’s wish list: Quiet, peaceful home No other pets❤️ Someone who will give him time, love, and patience A home where he can be the one and only
Sam isn’t a bad boy — he’s a boy who has been telling us that the multi-cat lifestyle just isn’t for him. We believe there is someone out there who is looking for exactly the kind of loyal, loving companion Sam can be.
Could you be Sam’s forever person? ❤️

7. Teddy

Senior (9 years 11 months) · Male · Domestic Long Hair / Mixed (long coat) · 24 mi from Pittsburg

MODESTO, CA: Teddy is ready for his forever home where he can enjoy his golden years! This sweet senior boy is just adorable and has tufts of fur between his toes, very cute! He loves people and is good with children, but he doesn't seem to care much about other cats.

Read more about Teddy

Teddy was born in approximately August 2016. He was rescued after
his previous owner never returned to pick
him up from an appointment. Teddy had an eye infection that was actually caused by an infection in some of his teeth. He's had to go back to the veterinarian for many rounds of antibiotics, a mini dental and checkups; now everything appears to be under control.
Teddy
has been neutered and is up to date on his shots.

Teddy is in early kidney failure (
it could be temporary). He drinks and urinates a lot but is eating his renal K/D diet just fine. Over the last two months he has gained weight, so we are very hopeful for his future.

This is a Courtesy Post, and Teddy is with the Cat Network of Stanislaus in Modesto, California. For more information, please contact Monica at adopt@catnetworkofstanislaus.org or 209-735-0604. Visit their website at https://catnetworkofstanislaus.org/.

Please Note: This cat has not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cat’s status with their rescuer and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.

9. Lucy

Young · Female · Ragdoll (long coat) · 9 mi from Pittsburg

Contact Lori at Whisker2love@gmail.com to Meet Lucy.
Please note that applications are not processed on a first-come, first-served basis. We will be reviewing the applications to find the best match. She would be best in a house that has lots of trees and wildlife to watch.
Meet Lucy:She is the total package: gorgeous, affectionate, hilarious, and just a little bit dramatic. She is about 2 years old.
Her favorite hobby is bird watching from a safely screened window, where she takes her role as Neighborhood Wildlife Supervisor very seriously. When she’s not keeping tabs on local birds, she’s likely following her favorite humans from room to room because, in Lucy's opinion, life is simply better together.

Read more about Lucy

Lucy loves to brushed and pet. She is also a wonderful lap cat.
Lucy is incredibly people-oriented and loves being near her humans. Her signature move is the Welcome Home Belly Flop™. Leave the room and come back? Belly flop. Come home from work? Belly flop. Walk by and say hello? Another belly flop. It’s her adorable way of showing how happy she is to see you.
She gets the occasional case of the zoomies, loves sleeping near her people, and is always happy to accept attention.
Lucy does have one important request: she’d like to be your one and only cat. Other cats make her uncomfortable, and she’ll be happiest in a home without feline roommates.
If you’re looking for a beautiful cat with a big personality, a loving heart, and a knack for making you feel like the most important person in the world, Lucy is ready to meet you.

13. Binx

Adult · Female · Tabby / Siberian / Mixed (long coat) · 12 mi from Pittsburg

Meet Binx — your future best friend
Binx is a beautiful 3-year-old Tabby/Siberian longhaired girl with a heart just as soft as her fluffy coat. She’s one of four sisters and has the sweetest, most gentle personality. Binx loves to “talk” in the cutest little chirps and will happily entertain herself (and you!) chasing her favorite wand toys.
She’s been raised in a home with a dog, so she’d do wonderfully in a family with a cat-friendly canine companion. Even better, Binx would love to be adopted with one of her sisters—they’ve been together their whole lives and share a special bond that would be so rewarding to keep intact.
If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and affectionate companion (or the perfect pair!), Binx could be the perfect addition to your home.

Caring for a long-haired cat

Long coats need regular grooming: brushing a few times a week, and every day when they shed in spring, stops knots and mats from forming and cuts down on hairballs.

Get them used to it gently, with short sessions and a treat afterward. A wide-toothed comb and a soft slicker brush handle most coats.
