Personality
Darrow is basically the purfect kitten:Friendly, outgoing, playful and affectionate, Darrow loves nothing more than playing with his sister Virginia, followed by some quality lap time with his favorite people.Darrow likes to be right where the action is. He loves following his foster family around the house to see what everyone is up to and is eager to be part of whatever you are doing--wheter invited to supervise or not. Sometimes he's so enthusiastic about being included that he ends up right underfoot. One of Darrow's most endearing qualities is his almost constant purring. In fact, if he is out of sight, his foster family simply follows the sound of his purr to find him.Darrow absolutely adores his twin sister Virginia, and the two have a wonderful time playing, exploring, keeping each other company and entertained. He would be happiest being adopted with Virginia, but would also do well in a home with another friendly, playful cat and, of course, plenty of welcoming laps to curl up on.If you're looking for a sweet, playful, outgoing kitten who wants to be part of everything you do, Darrow might be your perfect match!

Personality
There is not enough words in the world for this girls personality. Luna is a dog in cat's clothing. She wants to know what is going on at all times, and tends to be fearless. She finds car rides intriguing, she comes out to see what the vacuum is doing, and calmly grooms amidst a pack of screaming pre-teen boys. She needs humans or friend animals who wish to include her in all kinds of adventure and mischief. She will make a most entertaining companion. She also does have a soft side. She loves plush blankets and makes a four-paw biscuit while keeping the blanket trapped gently in her teeth, and is very pleased to cuddle. She will peruse through your business often to get a gentle pet and be off to see more interesting things.

Read more about Phoebe
Physical Description
Phoebe has white colored feet which makes her look like she is wearing UGG boots everyday :) Her white fur is also on her belly and goes up to her neck and all the way to the bottom of her mouth. She loves belly and chin scratches! She has a very soft coat of fur and is made of mostly greyish/brown with black stripes. It looks very cool!
Personality
Phoebe has a great personality and loves to play with dogs when she gets to know them. She grew up with another cat before we adopted her and was buddies with that cat as well. She is a little on the small side for a domestic short hair cat. She has "white boots" on all 4 paws with a white belly and chest, all the way up her neck and under her mouth. She loves belly rubs, sleeping under a blanket (sometimes at your feet) and she loves to snuggle in between your legs for warmth. She is a talker when she sees it is feeding time!!! You will hear her cute little squeak of a meow, and I have taught her to sit. She has now started to stand on her hind legs and paw at her food. Sometimes she will paw gently at your leg, telling you to put her food down :) Phoebe is in great health. Her diet consists of a combination of wet and dry food. We feed her twice a day. We give her one plastic spoonful of wet food and 1/3 cup of dry food.

He prefers to sleep cuddled into the crook of your arm, will sit in the bathroom with you (very politely), likes to sit on your lap while you're eating, and generally would like to be a part of every moment of your day. Pluto loves chasing toys throughout the apartment, watching birds out the window, and has done very well playing and romping around with other cats in his foster home. He is incredibly good for handling and starts purring as soon as you pick him up (or look at him). He is such a perfect kitten and deserves the perfect forever home!

Personality
Chas is a veryyy sweet girl. She was hit by a car when she was a kitten and ended up on a euthanasia list. She was pulled by Friends of YCAS and enrolled in UCD Fracture Program. She was feral and not used to people. Her pelvis was broken and so were lots of her toe bones. She had some pretty intense orthopedic surgeries and is now living her best life. It took about 48 hours to fully domesticate her- She is the sweetest and extremely vocal! She will let you know when she is hungry, or wants to play. She enjoys carrying around her mouse and playing with plastic springs. She is a love and sleeps with us every night aswell as loafs on top of us whenever she sees fit. Because of her broken legs when she was a kitten she does have a slight limp on her right hind leg. She is gaining back strength after surgery- This does not stop her from launching herself into cat trees :)She loves my dogs and has done very well with my cats. She is definitely a more submissive girl- She does get a little spooked when you approach her quickly but if you offer your hand she will roll right on over. She literally had splints on both of her hind legs and still managed to NEVER have an accident outside of the litterbox. She is AMAZING and has been an absolute joy in our house.

Read more about Junebug
Junebug is a zippy, curious little tritabby who has never met an activity she didn’t want to join. Whether it’s the crinkle of a bag, the swish of a toy wand, or simply the comings and goings of her household, Junebug is right there — watching, investigating, and looking for a way to get involved. She is an attention seeker in the very best sense of the word: this girl wants to be wherever the action is, and she wants you to notice her while she’s at it.
Under her light tabby coat, Junebug wears pretty orange patches scattered in several places, and her face is traced with lovely brown facial lines that give her an especially sweet, expressive look. She is a small bundle of high energy, always ready to pounce on a toy, chase a wand, or invent her own game out of whatever happens to be nearby. But she isn’t all zoomies — Junebug is also deeply affectionate and loves being petted, and she is happy to settle in for cuddle time once her curiosity has been satisfied, at least for the moment.
Junebug can be a bit shy at first, especially in new or overwhelming situations, so she will do best with people willing to give her a little time to warm up. Once she feels safe, her playful, people-loving personality shines right through. She gets along well with cat-friendly dogs and school-aged kids, and because she is still a kitten herself, she would love a home with another kitten or young cat to play with — a partner in crime who can keep up with her energy and appreciate her philosophy that everything is more fun as a game. She may not be the best match for older, less active cats, who likely won’t share her enthusiasm for pouncing from behind the furniture.
Junebug would do well in almost any type of home, as long as she also has a quiet spot of her own to retreat to for naps when she is ready to recharge. Ideally, her new family will have had one or two cats before, so they know what to expect from a cat who wants to be part of everything — and who repays that involvement with plenty of play and purrs.
If you’re looking for a spirited, sweet little girl who will keep things interesting, keep you company, and quietly steal your heart with her curious antics, Junebug is ready to find her forever home!

Physical Description
Cece (cease fire, Cecil) is the softest cat you will meet in a long time. Her lovely medium length hair is like that of an Angora rabbit, silky and fine. She has white paws as if dipped in milk, and a charming white chest and belly peaking out at front that gently curves up her chin into a thin line. Her lovely white whiskers frame a dark face with bright yellow eyes. One of her eyes is very slightly cloudy; damage from a cold virus when she was a kitten, but she clearly has no idea, and never lets it stop her.
Personality
Cece has the soul of a delicate gentle heart. She entered our house quietly, gave all our cats space, and became a quiet puzzle piece that fitted in like it belonged. She loves to snuggle on beds and couches, and can be found purring loudly by your ear in a gentle ball long after you've gone to sleep for the night. She is content to give our older animals all the space they need; never bothering them, but thrilled to have a fellow kitten and younger cat on hand to pounce and be silly with. For some odd reason, she thinks rocks make a humorous toy; and likely has quite a few more odd traits hiding behind her cute furry face! She is still nervous of being approached on the ground; slow steps and gentleness are very helpful. But she is not hard to coerce into reach, and once you have her she is pleased to be petted, cuddled, and played with. She is a wonderful companion who would make a sweet addition to almost any household.

Mr. Boy is very playful, and very tolerant. You can pick him up, hold him, and move him easily. He would be really tolerant of a young child or other pets (I don't know yet about dogs.) He is not much of a cuddler (yet) but that may change if he finds his person. He does get restless at night as he is still an energetic young kitty. He's very smart and observant, and very talkative. 28. Luke
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 8 mi from Woodland

Meet Luke !
Luke is the definition of a social butterfly—this lovable guy loves people and isn’t shy about showing it! Whether you’re relaxing at home or hosting a full-on gathering, Luke will be right there greeting guests, soaking up attention, and making fast friends with everyone he meets.
Sweet, mellow, and incredibly affectionate, Luke is a champion cuddler. He’ll happily curl up on your chest while you watch TV or settle in for the night, purring loudly as he soaks up all the love you have to give. He enjoys being held, carried around, and even hugged—he’s just that easygoing and trusting.
Luke grew up with his sister and was very bonded to her, but after some negative experiences with outdoor cats, he has become a bit uneasy around other felines. Because of this, he would do best in a lower-stress home where he can be the center of attention and feel safe and secure.
He’s wonderful with people of all ages, has great manners (no biting or scratching), and still has a playful side—especially when a feather wand toy is involved!
If you’re looking for a friendly, confident, people-loving cat who will be right in the middle of your life (and your lap!), Luke is ready to be your new best friend.

29. Oreo
Young (6 months) · Female · Domestic Medium Hair / Tuxedo / Mixed (medium coat) · 22 mi from Woodland

Meet Oreo! ❤️Part-time housework supervisor, professional biscuit maker, and full-time sweetheart! With her beautiful golden eyes, extra-long white whiskers, and adorable white paws, Oreo is a striking little tuxedo kitten with a sweet, playful personality and a sensitive soul.Oreo is a little shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, her delightful personality shines! She loves being near her people, whether she’s perched on a cat tree watching the household activity or relaxing beside you on the couch. She prefers to sit near her people rather than on their laps, but when she’s ready for affection, she’ll come to you and lean into your hand and arch her back to enjoy every bit of a good petting. Her absolute favorite thing? Bedtime! Oreo loves sleeping between her foster parents, kneading soft, fuzzy blankets, and purring herself to sleep.
Read more about Oreo
It’s impossible not to fall in love with her sweet little biscuit-making routine!Don’t let her shy side fool you—Oreo has plenty of playful kitten energy! She loves chasing laser lights, batting at feather toys and fuzzy worms, climbing to high perches, and racing through the house with her feline friends. She’s also an enthusiastic little household supervisor who likes to “help” with sweeping and mopping. And sometimes, when you ask her a question, she’ll answer with the softest little “mew!”Her Ideal Forever Home ❤️Oreo would thrive in a relatively calm home with people who appreciate her gentle nature and give her time to build trust. Adults, teenagers, or respectful older children would be wonderful companions. A busy home with rambunctious young children probably wouldn’t be ideal. She’s comfortable around other cats and especially loves playing and cuddling with them. Another friendly feline would be a bonus, although she could also be happy as an only cat. Oreo is fully litter-box trained, uses scratching posts, and tolerates brushing, nail trims, harnesses, and car rides. She’s also spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped and ready for her forever home!A Special Note About Meeting Oreo: Please don’t judge Oreo by her behavior at adoption events! The noise, strangers, and activity at Petco can overwhelm her, causing her to tremble, growl, or occasionally hiss. But that’s not the happy, affectionate, playful kitten her foster family knows at home! In a familiar environment, Oreo is a curious little sweetheart who enjoys being part of the family. She simply needs a gentle approach and a little patience to show her true personality. Her foster family welcomes home meet-and-greets, where you can see Oreo relaxed and comfortable in her own environment.Could Oreo Be Your Perfect Match? If you’re looking for a playful, gentle companion who will keep you company, make you laugh, and curl up beside you at bedtime to make biscuits on a fuzzy blanket, Oreo might be your girl! Sometimes the sweetest companions are the ones who need a little time to let you into their hearts. ❤️

30. Spice Girl
Adult (2 years 4 months) · Female · Torbie / Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 22 mi from Woodland

Meet Spice Girl ❤️
Spice Girl is an extremely affectionate girl who would happily spend her days soaking up as many pets and cuddles as possible. She is also quite the conversationalist! She loves greeting people who come near her and making sure everyone knows she’s there. After all, Spice Girl believes she should be the center of attention—and honestly, she may be right!
Her ideal home would be with someone who is home frequently and has plenty of time, love, and, most importantly, a lap for her to curl up on while she purrs.
Read more about Spice Girl
Spice Girl should be the
only pet in her home
because she has tested positive for
feline calicivirus (FCV)
. When active, FCV can cause upper respiratory symptoms and gingivitis and may be contagious to unvaccinated or immunocompromised cats and kittens. The virus can remain dormant and may flare up during times of stress or anxiety, so a calm, loving, low-stress home will be especially important for her.
The good news is that Spice Girl does
not require ongoing medication
. If she develops symptoms, medication may help manage and lessen them.
If you're looking for a loving, talkative, lap-loving companion who wants to be your one and only, Spice Girl may be the perfect match. She has plenty of love to give—and she can't wait to give it all to you! ❤️

Why adopt an adult cat in Woodland
An adult cat's personality is fully formed, so the rescue can tell you how they are with people, other pets and busy households. Many have lived in foster homes and are used to family life.
Grown cats are calmer and need less supervision than kittens, which suits people who work long hours or have young children.
