1. Wyx

Male · Tuxedo / Mixed (long coat) · 89 mi from Johnson City

Meet Wyx!

A Goofy Little Guy with a BIG Personality!

Well, hello there! My name is Wyx, and I'm a fun-loving, silly little kitten with a whole lot of personality and an even bigger heart!

My foster family says I'm destined to become someone's beloved little boy, and I couldn't agree more! I'm goofy, adventurous, affectionate, and always ready to make you smile with my silly antics.

Playtime is my absolute favorite! Whether I'm chasing toys, pouncing on unsuspecting furry friends, or simply watching all the excitement around me, there's never a dull moment when I'm nearby!

Read more about Wyx

I'm quite a bit bigger than my sisters, Iskra and Sorel, and I'm definitely the brave one of the bunch! I'm not afraid to invite anyone to play, even the grumpiest older cats or the family dog! Sometimes they don't appreciate my enthusiasm, but I just think everyone should have a little more fun!

I absolutely love attention and spending time with my people, but I'm also perfectly capable of entertaining myself. Give me a few toys, and I'll create my own adventures!

Life with my foster family has been wonderful, but there's one thing missing — a forever family to call my very own. ❤️

If you're looking for a playful, confident, affectionate little companion who will fill your home with laughter, love, and endless entertainment, I just might be your perfect match!

Could you be my forever family?

❤️ From our loving homes to yours!

2. Main

Kitten · Female · Domestic Medium Hair / Mixed (long coat) · 99 mi from Johnson City

From her foster "MEET MAIN — A LITTLE MAMA WHO DESERVES A MAIN STREET OF HER OWN!Her name is Main. Her story started on Main Street. But the place she belongs is in YOUR heart. Beautiful MAIN is a young black-and-white, medium-haired kitty who was found on Main Street in Wilkesboro with her two kittens. And this wasn't a family we could simply leave to fend for themselves. They were holding up along a very busy section of Main Street, putting this little mama and her babies in tremendous danger. So Main and her kittens became a rescue priority. But here's the thing about Main…SHE WAS BARELY MORE THAN A KITTEN HERSELF.

Read more about Main

This young girl had already become a mother before she had really gotten the chance to be a baby. When Main first entered rescue, she was painfully thin. Fortunately, this little girl has discovered one of life's greatest pleasures: FOOD! Main has a wonderfully healthy appetite and is steadily putting on the weight she desperately needed. With regular meals, safety and plenty of love, she's beginning to show us who she really is. And WHO SHE IS… is pretty darn wonderful. Main is EXTREMELY SWEET and affectionate. She has a lovely, gentle disposition and genuinely enjoys being around people. But don't let her mama status fool you—she's still a young kitty herself! She loves to play with toys and is ready to experience all the fun things she missed while growing up far too quickly. Now her kittens are vetted. Main is vetted. And this little family is ready for their next chapter. MAIN IS FULLY VETTED: Spayed Distemper vaccinated Rabies vaccinated FeLV/FIV negative Microchipped Treated for fleas Treated for intestinal parasites Main would be a wonderful addition to so many different kinds of homes. She would likely be happy in a home with children and/or other cats, but she could also be perfectly content being the only kitty in an adult-only home. After everything this little girl has been through, what she deserves now is simple:A safe home. A full food bowl. A few toys. A soft place to sleep. And someone who will love her for the sweet, beautiful girl she is. From a dangerous stretch of Main Street Wilkesboro…to the safety of rescue…NOW MAIN IS LOOKING FOR THE STREET SHE'LL NEVER HAVE TO LEAVE — HER FOREVER HOME."Kittens may appear older in person, pictures are typically updated monthly

8. Taylor & Tyalar

Russian Blue / Mixed (long coat) · 89 mi from Johnson City

This is Taylor and Tyalar both female essentially identical and they are about 6 months old. They were trapped from part of the feral population that is in our neighborhood.

They have come a long way in warming up to domestic life and are really sweet. They are a beautiful gray almost blueish color, just really really pretty.

They've been fostered not only with their siblings, Tabitha, and Tate, but another litter also trapped in the neighborhood. They are being fostered in a home with large dogs, small dogs, and multiple other adult cats.

Read more about Taylor & Tyalar

They are in a busy home with a very busy 6 year old and don't seem to mind. They are smart, gorgeous, and definitely have loved sleeping with their people. They are litter box trained and will make an awesome addition to any family.

I visually cannot tell them apart at all and only know who is who by picking them up because for some reason Tyalar makes a weird grumbling, talking noise the entire time you're holding her, lol. She doesn't try to get away she just talks about it the whole time. They have a very strong bond, typically they are ALWAYS together. As they have aged they are being a bit more independent from each other, but are still pretty bonded.

They are both spayed and up to date on age appropriate vaccinations.

Point of interest: Tyalar developed pneumonia after her spay and became extremely ill she was hospitalized and treated at our vet where she responded to treatment. She has recovered beautifully and is a normal 6-7 month old little girl. During her hospital course she was found to have a pretty significant heart murmur and is now on medication that she will need to be given daily. The veterinarian is cautiously optimistic that there is a possibility that she may grow out of it, but is not positive. She will need to follow up and be monitored. She will come with all of her medical records and depending on your location you can either continue follow up with her current veterinarian or transfer care to your provider.

10. Neko

Male · Russian Blue / Domestic Long Hair / Mixed (long coat) · 89 mi from Johnson City

Meet Neko.
Also known as Sweet Boy.

This gorgeous boy was rescued on a full moon and the coldest night of the year roaming alongside our two neighborhood peacocks. He’s estimated to be between 1 and 2 years old and resembles a Nebelung breed cat. Nebelung translates to “creature of the mist”…
Sweet boy would do best in a loving, consistent environment with other animals as he has only shown loving interest towards our other cats and our 13 year old pit bull.
He’s slow to warm, but eventually melts.

Read more about Neko

One of my favorite things about him is how he leans into you like a bull dog when you pet him. He also has a perfect black heart of a nose and likes to boop your forehead with his.
Under that mysterious resting wolf-face is a very silly, dedicated boy that wants to hang by your side and be reminded how good he is.
Window seats, Churus, paper balls, sitting next to the radio(oldies) and weekly combings are a few of his favorite things.

Caring for a long-haired cat

Long coats need regular grooming: brushing a few times a week, and every day when they shed in spring, stops knots and mats from forming and cuts down on hairballs.

Get them used to it gently, with short sessions and a treat afterward. A wide-toothed comb and a soft slicker brush handle most coats.
