2. Savanah

Young (8 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 4 mi from Long Beach

On Mother’s Day, Savannah was found on the front stoop of an apartment scared to death. Savanah had made it indoors and into an open mailbox to hide. That’s when the person who found her brought her home.

Read more about Savanah

The first two weeks, Savanah hid in the closet and under her bed. Since then, she has been spending more and more time in the living room with rescuer, the other cats, and a frenchie. She no longer hides! She’s NOT needy at all, doesn’t demand attention, and finally enjoys being pet and purrs easily. She cuddles up on the bed whenever she gets a chance. She’s a very sweet soul! No behavior concerns and is low/mid energy. She spends her time birdwatching from the windowsill. With just a bit of patience and love, she should warm up to any calm and loving home in no time.

This is a courtesy post for Savannah's finder. Please fill out an application if you are interested in adopting her and it will be sent to the finder so she can contact you.

3. Kitten Abu

Kitten (2 months 21 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 6 mi from Long Beach

Hi, my name is Abu. My three sibs and I were six weeks old when we were abandoned and left on a porch. We were brought to SBACC and Ariel. I went to one foster home, and our other sister and brother went to a different foster home. Ariel and I have become very attached to each other. We love to play and snuggle together and love our tunnels and Amazon boxes. We also enjoyed playing with the older cats in our foster home. A neighbor visited with her dogs a few times, and we were fine with them. We also did fine with little kids who visited. When tuckered out from playing, we enjoy long naps, then wake up and start playing again. We are cuddly lap cats, now ready for our forever homes, and we hope to stay together. We are together in three of the pics.

7. Sweet Pea & Purrcy

Kitten · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 3 mi from Long Beach

❤️Meet Sweet Pea & Purrcy — Two Little Lovebugs Looking for Their Forever Home
Sweet Pea and Purrcy are an exceptionally loving pair of kittens with hearts as big as their purrs. They were rescued at approximately four weeks old along with four other kittens and have been lovingly cared for in our home ever since.
From the moment they arrived, they received everything they needed to grow into healthy, happy kittens. They were immediately bathed, examined, dewormed, treated for fleas, and given high-quality kitten milk and nutritious wet food. They have never been raised in cages. They live with us as part of the family, which has helped them become confident, social, affectionate, and wonderfully well-adjusted.
What truly makes Sweet Pea and Purrcy special is their incredible disposition. They are two of the friendliest, gentlest, happiest, most loving kittens you could ever meet. They purr almost nonstop, adore attention, and are completely comfortable being handled and loved by people. They are playful and entertaining, but they are also incredibly sweet and content to cuddle close.
They have been around dogs and other cats and would make amazing companions for someone looking for two affectionate, family-oriented kittens. Sweet Pea and Percy share a beautiful bond, and we would love to see them adopted together so they can continue growing up side by side.
Their adoption fee is $275 for the pair. They will be:

The adoption fee helps offset a portion of their veterinary and rescue costs while allowing us to continue saving homeless cats and kittens in our community.
What also makes our rescue unique is that our support does not end on adoption day. We stay in touch, help Sweet Pea and Purrcy adjust to their new home, and are available to answer questions or address concerns during the transition. Our goal is not simply to place kittens, but to make sure the adoption is a wonderful and lasting fit for both the kittens and their new family.
Every time a pair like Sweet Pea and Purrcy finds a loving forever home, space opens in our rescue and foster homes for two more vulnerable kittens waiting to be saved.
Please consider meeting this extraordinary little pair. You will not be disappointed. Sweet Pea and Percy are ready to fill their forever home with nonstop purrs, gentle cuddles, joyful play, and endless hours of love and entertainment.

Bringing a cat home to your dog

Tell the rescue about your dog: their size, age and energy. A cat who has lived with a calm dog may still be nervous around a bouncy puppy.

Introduce them slowly. Keep the cat in a room of their own for the first few days, swap bedding so they get used to each other's scent, and then let them meet with the dog on a leash.

Make sure the cat can always get somewhere the dog can't reach, and keep the litter box and food bowls out of the dog's way.
