6. Lilly
Senior · Female · Domestic Short Hair · 22 mi from Watsonville

Lilly is a very sweet and loving cat who may be a little shy at first, so she would do best in a calm home without young children. She enjoys being petted on her own terms and would make a wonderful couch companion, keeping you company during quiet, cozy moments. Lilly has a little extra weight to love, but she's working toward a healthier lifestyle with a diet and exercise plan provided by the SPCA. She also has some dental issues and has already received dental care, although she may need additional treatment in the future. With a little patience, understanding, and lots of love, Lilly has so much affection to give and would love to find a family who will cherish her just the way she is.
7. Teddy
Adult (4 years 7 months) · Male · Exotic Shorthair (short coat) · 25 mi from Watsonville

Meet Teddy!
Teddy is a 4.5-year-old neutered male Exotic Shorthair looking for his forever home.
He may be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly and becomes a sweet, affectionate companion. He’s a smart little guy who loves having people around and isn’t shy about meowing when he wants attention. He has his own way of communicating with us, and it’s pretty adorable!
Because of his tiny nose, softer food can be easier for him to eat, although he definitely shows interest in dry food, too.
Teddy would love a home where he gets lots of love, attention, and company.

One important note: we don’t recommend Teddy for a home with a history of cat allergies, as we want to avoid putting him or his future family through that uncertainty.
If you think Teddy might be the one for you, please help us learn more about you and your household by filling out our online application: www.tinyurl.com/AdoptMeow. Let’s find this sweet boy the loving forever home he deserves.

29. Flower
Kitten (2 months 18 days) · Female · Tuxedo / Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 19 mi from Watsonville

Flower must be adopted with Thumper
All of our kittens are spayed/neutered, up to date on their vaccinations, dewormed, deflead and microchipped prior to being delivered to their loving forever home. All of our kittens are only available for adoption in pairs as it is our policy not to place kittens under six months of age in a forever home without another same aged kitten. We also do not place kittens older than six months into homes where there is currently not another young cat in residence. Most of our kittens are in "bonded pairs" or bonded with their littermates. We reserve the right not to separate bonded pairs or place kittens individually. The happiness and quality of life for our kittens is our top priority. =^..^=

Adopting a cat in Watsonville
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
