1. Aloisius
Adult (2 years 1 month) · Male · Tabby / Mixed

CASTRO VALLEY, CA: ALOISIUS (CP) is just the sweetest boy!! He was a very handsome young tomcat (meaning an adult male cat unneutered, with a big round head), when he was found and rescued as he was walking in an area known for coyotes.
Aloisius is a very tame cat, so it is likely someone was feeding him and tamed him down, but he was not microchipped and his owner could not be located. Aloisius is now safe and cared for in a foster home.
Read more about Aloisius
Aloisius is adorable and a total sweetheart, and he deserves his own loving indoor-only home. It is likely he would get along with children 8 years or older who are gentle and can move more slowly until he adjusts to his new family and environment.
Aloisius would do great in a home with another kitty, but probably not with dogs.
Aloisius was born in approximately September 2024. He is healthy, has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and is ready for his forever home!
If you are looking for a great, gentle companion for yourself and maybe your cat, you cannot go wrong with this sweet, precious and very handsome boy!
This is a Courtesy Post, and Aloisius is with Angus & Friends Cat Rescue in Castro Valley, California. For more information, please text Deborah at 510-909-4961. Visit their website at https://angusandfriendscatrescue.com.
Please Note: This cat has not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cat’s status with their rescue group and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.

2. Momo
Kitten (4 months 8 days) · Male · Tabby / Mixed (short coat)

Momo is an adorable, affectionate, brown tabby kitten. This boy LOVES to be petted and loves to cuddle. He is very talkative with his cute little raspy voice and is extremely food motivated. Momo is very proud of his gorgeous spotted belly! He shows it off all the time and loves to have it rubbed and even kissed.
You would never suspect that this little guy had such a rough start. Momo was found in a parking lot with a severely fractured front leg. He has had a remarkable recovery and is now a normal playful kitten. But he may have a little limp and needs to be monitored as he becomes fully grown.
Read more about Momo
Momo loves to play with other cats and needs another young kitty to play and cuddle with. He is fostered with Cupcake. They would be a nice pair. He would be OK with cat savvy kids over the age of 8 and would likely accept a calm dog with a careful introduction.
We estimate he was born June 14, 2026. Kitty Bio #581LRo-Mo. ▶️ Scroll down for clip

Machiavelli is a handsome, shy boy with cloud-soft black fur, a gray undercoat, and beautiful ear tufts. 7. Sadie
Adult (6 years 9 months) · Female · Domestic Medium Hair / Mixed (medium coat)

Beautiful and petite Sadie is a kitten at heart when it comes to her favorite toys in the world – pom pom balls! She delightfully bats and tosses them in the air without a care in the world. Let's just say that she is one very happy cat when her foster digs out the multiple pom pom balls that get stuck under furniture (a daily routine).
Read more about Sadie
Sadie's sweet personality shows when she greets you for pets by lowering her chin and offering you the top of her head for a gentle pat. She is a curious girl following you around, always interested in what's going on. Sadie warms up slowly to new people but once she bonds, she will be your devoted companion. She gets along with another cat but she would also be fine as an only pet. Dogs and children are untested but would likely do best in a home that is quiet and calm. 11. Leo
Adult (7 years) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Leo was rescued from a park in August 2026. He was a young cat with a broken femur, probably from being hit by a car. Leo was a stray/unowned cat according to the neighbors. When we accepted him into our program he had a long road ahead of him. He was facing pain, uncertainty, and a future that no little cat should have to face alone.
But Leo was a fighter! With the help of his amazing veterinary team, he underwent surgery to repair his broken leg. It took time, care, and plenty of love, but this brave boy never gave up.
Read more about Leo
And now, look at him! Leo has healed, his difficult days are behind him, and he is finally ready for the next chapter of his life. No more struggling with an injury. No more uncertainty about what tomorrow will bring. Just the promise of a safe home, a soft bed, full food bowls, and someone who will love him forever.
Leo’s story is a beautiful reminder that sometimes, all it takes is a helping hand and a chance to change a life. Now, this sweet young boy needs one more miracle: a family of his very own.
Could you be the person who gives Leo the happily-ever-after he deserves? Someone to cherish him, spoil him, and make sure he never has to face the world alone again?

14. Ollie
Young (4 months 15 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Hi, my name is Ollie, and I was rescued after being found all by myself in a parking lot without my mother or siblings. I am a sweet and observant boy. My foster mom says that I'm very calm, and we are working on my confidence. I really like to be in the same room as my human. When people come to my home they always tell me that I have extra-soft fur and pretty eyes. Some people say that I look like a little panther because I’m shiny and graceful!

I love my foster brothers and sisters -- I play with them all the time and we like to give each other baths. I try not to play too rough but I like to run around the family room! I've heard my mom tell people that if my forever home had another cat or two, I would fit in very well.

18. Walter
Kitten (2 months 20 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed

Walter had a rough start to life. He was found hiding in a car engine, where he was squirted with a hose and then chased around a garage until he was finally caught. You might expect a kitten who experienced all that to be frightened or wary of people—but Walter has decided that humans are pretty wonderful after all!
The moment you pet him, Walter starts to purr. He loves giving and receiving kisses, enjoys belly rubs, and is an incredibly cuddly little guy. Unlike many kittens, Walter actually loves being held and will happily curl up next to you for a cozy nap if given the chance.
Read more about Walter
Of course, Walter is still a kitten, so playtime is a must! He loves anything that moves, but wand toys and chasing balls are definitely among his favorites. After he’s finished showing off his playful side, he’s more than happy to settle in for some serious snuggle time.
Walter has been through a lot, but none of it has taken away his trust, sweetness, or loving spirit. He’s the kind of kitten who will quickly steal your heart—and before you know it, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without him.
We think you’ll be completely smitten with Walter!
First priority will be given to applicants who adopt two, next those who have a young cat at home already.
Please see our website at https://ohlonehumanesociety.org/fostering-and-adoption/ and click on the ADOPTION APPLICATION button to submit your application, and let us know if you are looking for a particular kitten. We will let you know as soon as our Kitten Foster Program Manager reviews the applications received. All of our kittens must be spayed or neutered in our care before adoption can be finalized. 19. Jonesy
Young (8 months) · Male · Tuxedo / Mixed (short coat)

Jonesy — The Tuxedo Clown
Personality in 3 words: Playful, Loving, Silly
Best suited for: A home looking for a fun-loving companion and willing to give him a few days to settle in.
Meet Jonesy! Don't let the formal tuxedo fool you—Jonesy is a total goofball! He is a master entertainer who knows exactly how to steal the show. Once he gets to know you, his absolute favorite move is climbing right onto your chest and pressing his face against yours for some serious cuddle time. Whether he is chasing a feather wand at top speed or curled up like a little crescent moon in your lap, he is guaranteed to bring endless joy to your home.

My Favorite Things:
Toy of Choice: The Cat Dancer! I will chase this as long and as fast as you can wave it around.
Nap Spot: Curled up on a soft blanket right on the couch.
Fun Quirk: I like to give the cutest little "trills" whenever I walk into a room to greet my humans!
Social Life: Jonesy has been a star in his foster home! He gets along wonderfully with other cats and is making great progress learning that strangers are just future friends who haven't handed over treats yet. He is already fully litter box trained and ready for his big adventure.
The Ideal Home: Jonesy would love a home where he gets plenty of playtime and affection. Because he still has that awesome 10-month-old kitten energy, he would thrive if adopted with a buddy or into a home that already has a playful feline friend to keep him company. He just needs a few days to adjust to his new environment, but he will reward your patience with a lifetime of love and silly antics.

24. Ballpark Frank
Senior · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed

Everyone loves a Ballpark Frank, and this one comes with extra sweetness! This 12-year-old orange-and-white boy is serving up a generous helping of affection. He loves being petted so much that he may even try to climb onto you when you visit. Why settle for affection on the side when you can have the whole order? Frank has also been showing off quite an appetite at the shelter. A kind Samaritan found him on the street with a mouth injury and brought him to OAS. The injury turned out to be old, and it hasn't dampened his enthusiasm for attention or a good meal. You bring the meals and pets; Frank will bring the love. This sweet senior is ready for a home where he can be someone's favorite Frank!
Read more about Ballpark Frank
Medical details: Ballpark Frank arrived underweight and has an old injury affecting the joint connecting the two halves of his lower jaw, leaving his mouth slightly open and his tongue peeking out. OAS veterinary staff report that he appears comfortable, eats and drinks normally, and does not currently need treatment for the jaw injury. He does have severe dental disease that will require care from an adopter's veterinarian, along with a general health exam to address his weight and senior health needs. Medical information from OAS veterinary staff will be shared with anyone interested in adopting Frank so they can make an informed decision about his care.

29. Aloisius
Adult (2 years 1 month) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Aloisious is just the sweetest boy!! He was a very handsome young tomcat (meaning an adult male cat unneutered, with a big round head), when we trapped him as he was walking by in an area known for coyotes. We searched for his owner, but no one is looking for him, and he was unfixed and not microchipped. Aloisius is a very tame cat, so it is likely someone was feeding him and tamed him down, but did not claim him as theirs. He was not in a safe place, but now he is safe and cared for in one of our foster homes!
Read more about Aloisius
Aloisius is adorable and a total sweetheart, and he deserves his own loving indoor-only home. It is likely he would get along with children 8 years or older who are gentle and can move more slowly until he adjusts to his new family and environment.
We think Aloisius would do great in a home with another kitty, but probably not with dogs.

Adopting a cat in Alameda County
Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.
Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.
Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
