Hi, my name is Calypso. I was four months old when I was rescued from an overcrowded shelter. Something was wrong with my eyes, they were tiny slits, and I could not see with them. It seems I was born that way, but the rest of me is fine. I had surgery to remove both my eyes, and now I am fully recovered and ready for my forever home. I may be a little timid when I first meet new people, but I like attention and pets. My lack of vision is not slowing me down one bit. I am a very active kitten, and I love to play and run around. X-rays did not show any breaks, and the vet said it might be nerve damage, so I went to a neurologist. He said it was definitely nerve damage and that maybe I had been hit by a car. He said there was no treatment for it, that physical therapy might or might not help, and that it is best that I not jump from high places or play too rough. I spent some time in a foster home, and I got around just fine; my paw hasn't slowed me down or stopped me from climbing and batting toys around.
