4. Kitten Calypso

Kitten (4 months 21 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 15 mi from Tustin

Hi, my name is Calypso. I was four months old when I was rescued from an overcrowded shelter. Something was wrong with my eyes, they were tiny slits, and I could not see with them. It seems I was born that way, but the rest of me is fine. I had surgery to remove both my eyes, and now I am fully recovered and ready for my forever home. I may be a little timid when I first meet new people, but I like attention and pets. My lack of vision is not slowing me down one bit. I am a very active kitten, and I love to play and run around. I have no any trouble finding my food or my litter box. I just need a home where my things stay in the same place so I can find them. I have lots of love to give, and I hope to find a home soon.

5. Mitzi

Adult (1 year) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 15 mi from Tustin

Hi, my name is Mitzi. I am a very friendly girl, so I think I had a home once. I wandered into a yard, and the lady thought her dogs might hurt me, so she brought me to SBACC. I am a very active cat who still has lots of kitten energy. I love to run around, explore, and play. I am also talkative and will let you know when I want something. In addition to being friendly, I am affectionate and enyoy being held and cuddled. Some people might say I am the purrfect cat, so I expect to find my forever home very, very soon. And, BTW, I am also pretty cute.

6. Taylor

Adult (1 year) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 15 mi from Tustin

Hi, my name is Taylor. I was left behind when my person moved, and I spent weeks hanging out in a backyard. She noticed something strange on my nose and was not sure whether it was an injury or an infection, but she did not want it to get worse, so she brought me to SBACC. The vet checked me out and even did a skin biopsy, which showed no parasitic infections, but they said I probably had flea or other insect bites. It is taking me a little while to get used to life at SBACC, and I am just starting to emerge from the cubby that I have been hiding in. I am a really friendly cat, and I like people and pets. I am not looking my best right now because of my nose injury, but it is starting to get better, and I know I will be looking great pretty soon. I am hoping for a forever home before the holidays.

7. Lovely Lola

Young · Female · Turkish Van / British Shorthair / Mixed (short coat) · 11 mi from Tustin

Meet Lovely Lola
Lovely Lola is a beautiful, dainty young girl, only about 10–12 months old, with the sweetest, most gentle personality. She has the most interesting markings…looks like 2 equal size triangles down her sides.
Lola’s story began on a rainy October night in Long Beach, where we found her living underneath a car. She was dirty, hungry and trying to survive on the streets. The moment we opened a can of food, she came running. She ate hungrily, then began rubbing against us as if she knew she had finally found someone who would help her.
Of course, there was no way we could leave her there.
We brought Lola home, gave her a nice warm bath and started giving her the full works — ear cleaning, nail trim, deworming, flea treatment, vaccines and microchipping — getting this little girl healthy, clean and ready for her spay.
And that’s when we discovered just how lovely Lola really is. ❤️
As soon as we brought her home from the vet, Lola began purring and rubbing against us. It almost seemed as though she was thanking us for helping her. After surviving outside in an area where life can be very hard for stray cats, she somehow remained incredibly trusting, affectionate and sweet.
Lola is an absolute love. Just watch her video and you’ll immediately see what we’re talking about. She is a precious, dainty, quiet little girl who will make some very lucky person or family a wonderful companion. She loves affection and will happily shower her person with purrs, rubs and love.
Lola seems comfortable around other cats and dogs. Because she has such a gentle, quieter personality, we think she would be happiest in a relatively calm home without young children, where she can relax, feel safe and blossom.
Interested in adopting Lovely Lola? Fill out an application by visiting LBSN.org, email adoptions@lbsn.org to request an adoption application Once we receive your completed application, our adoption team will review it. If we think you and Lola could be a good fit, we’ll contact you to arrange a time for you to meet this lovely little girl.
Adoption fee: $175, which helps offset a portion of Lola’s veterinary care, including her spay, vaccines, microchip, deworming and flea treatment.
Lola survived the streets. Now all she needs is the part of her story that matters most — a loving home of her very own. ❤️

8. Pearlie Girlie

Adult · Female · Turkish Van / British Shorthair / Mixed (short coat) · 11 mi from Tustin

MEET PEARLY GIRL
Pearly Girl is our newest rescue, and she is an absolute little sweetheart.
This beautiful, dainty white-and-tabby girl is about a year old, with gorgeous green eyes, the prettiest pink nose, and the most adorable little black beauty mark beside her nose. As if she needed anything else to make that little face irresistible!
Pearly Girl came to us when a homeless man who could no longer keep her was about to leave her on the streets. Somehow he found us, and there was simply no way we could turn this sweet girl away.
She is gentle, affectionate, playful, and incredibly loving. She’s a true little lap cat who loves cuddles, curling up beside you, and even burrowing under the covers in bed with you, purring away.

Read more about Pearlie Girlie

She has such a sweet, gentle nature and just wants someone of her own to love.
Her name has a special little story, too. Her beautiful white coat reminded us so much of my mom’s beloved cat Pearl, who recently passed away. We had already been affectionately calling this little one “Girly,” and somehow Pearly Girl just seemed to fit.
Now this darling girl needs the happy ending to her story—a loving forever home where she’ll never have to worry about being left behind again.
Could Pearly Girl be your girl?
To request an adoption application, please email adoptions@lbsn.org or text 562-588-4272. Once we receive your completed application, we’ll arrange a time for you to come meet her.
A $150 adoption donation is requested to help offset her veterinary expenses.

Hi! I’m Amal and I’m an incredibly sweet, gentle, and loving boy with a charming personality. I have the cutest little habits that will melt your heart. After you take a shower, I love to come over and rub against your feet to welcome you back. When you go to sleep, I’ll often curl up on top of your blanket to keep you company. I am quite independent and enjoy having my own space, but whenever I get bored, I’ll come find you and invite you to play.

And I am absolutely CRAZY about cat treats! The moment I know treats are involved, you’ll have my full attention. My previous owner said one of the most wonderful things about me is my gentle temperament. I have never hissed at anyone or shown aggression. Even when something upsets me, I simply run away rather than getting angry or defensive. I am the perfect combination of independent and affectionate. I don’t demand constant attention, but I have my own adorable ways of showing you that I love you. I’m a sweet little companion who will bring warmth, laughter, and lots of love into your home.
My adoption fee is $175. That includes spay/neuter, microchip, FIV/FeLV combo test, current vaccines and health check.

Adult (5 years 2 months) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Calico / Mixed (medium coat) · 15 mi from Tustin

Hi, my name is Bella. I was rescued from an overcrowded shelter and brought to SBACC. It was obvious that I was very pregnant, and I delivered six kittens in my foster home the very next day. Sadly, one of them did not survive, but the other five have grown into happy, healthy kittens and will soon be ready for their forever homes. I took very good care of my kittens, but I am now done with motherhood and ready to be loved and pampered in my own home. My foster Mom says that I am the sweetest cat you will ever meet. I am very vocal and love to chat with my people, always letting you know when I want attention. More than anything, I love curling up in your lap and soaking up all the cuddles I can get. If you are looking for a loving companion who wants to be by your side, I am the perfect lap cat and will happily keep you company every chance I get.

I had been dumped in a colony of ferals, and she knew I was in bad shape and did not belong there. I had a severely damaged eye that ruptured and had to be removed, and I had bruising on my abdomen and chest that looked like I had been kicked. I also had sores and scabs on my neck and head. I am a bit shy and timid, but I warm up quickly to quiet, gentle people. The people who care for me at SBACC say I am very sweet. Hi, my name is Udon. I was rescued from an overcrowded shelter when I was three months old. One of my front paws was injured. X-rays did not show any breaks, and the vet said it might be nerve damage, so I went to a neurologist. He said it was definitely nerve damage and that maybe I had been hit by a car. He said there was no treatment for it, that physical therapy might or might not help, and that it is best that I not jump from high places or play too rough. I spent some time in a foster home, and I got around just fine; my paw hasn't slowed me down or stopped me from climbing and batting toys around.

I am now ready for my forever home, and if I get lots of attention, I could be an only kitten, but it would be much more fun to go home with one of my sibs or another kitten or young cat.

28. Kitten Napoleon

Kitten (2 months 17 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 15 mi from Tustin

Hi, my name is Napoleon. My three siblings and I were rescued from a backyard when we were about five weeks old. We came to SBACC and then went to a foster home. Our foster mom says we have been a great litter of kittens. We never hid, and from the moment we arrived, we were comfortable, happy, affectionate, and playful. She even vacuumed without us freaking out. She says I am tiny but mighty, with a big personality. I am curious and confident and love being around people and my sibs. I am always ready for a new adventure or a good cuddle. I will bring lots of fun and love to my forever home. I could be an only kitten, but it would be much more fun to go home with one of my sibs, another kitten, or a young cat.

29. Kitten Nora

Kitten (2 months 17 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 15 mi from Tustin

Hi, my name is Nora, the only girl in my litter. My three brothers and I were rescued from a backyard when we were about five weeks old. We came to SBACC and then went to a foster home. Our foster mom says we have been a great litter of kittens. We never hid, and from the moment we arrived, we were comfortable, happy, affectionate, and playful. She can even vacuum without us freaking out. She says I am a little princess and that I know exactly how adorable I am. I am a confident, playful, affectionate kitten who loves people. I enjoy snuggling with my sibs and my humans. I also enjoy wrestling with my twin brother, Nigel, but I would rather cuddle. I am now ready for my forever home, and with lots of attention, I could be an only kitten, but it would be much more fun to go home with another kitten or young cat.

30. Parton

Young · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 12 mi from Tustin

I am currently available for adoption from my foster home. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an application on our website www.carmaoc.org
HI! My name is Parton and I have mastered the art of making everyone around me smile. I am the perfect combination of mellow sweetheart and playful kitten. One minute, I’m happily chasing a toy, exploring my surroundings, or finding something wonderfully entertaining to investigate. The next, I’m settled beside you, completely content and purring away like a tiny motor. I also happen to be an excellent little shadow. Walk toward the kitchen and you may suddenly notice an orange companion following close behind - just in case food might be involved.

Sit down, and I’ll come looking for pets. Wander into another room, and I may tag along simply because being near my people is one of my favorite things. Food, pets, playtime, love - I’m enthusiastically in favor of all four.
My adoption fee is $175. That includes spay/neuter, microchip, FIV/FeLV combo test, current vaccines and health check.

Adopting a cat in Tustin

Most rescues ask you to fill in an application, meet the cat, and pay an adoption fee that usually covers spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip. Many are foster-based, so you'll often meet your cat in a volunteer's home rather than a shelter.

Senior cats are often the calmest companions and the slowest to find homes. If you'd like a settled, affectionate cat, ask the rescues about their older residents.

Kittens go quickly, especially in spring and summer. If you've fallen for one, contact the rescue soon, and think about adopting two: young cats keep each other company and out of mischief.
