1. Daisy
Young (5 months 24 days) · Female · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 21 mi from Berkeley

Hello guys and gals! My name is Daisy and I am a 6 month old, spayed, currently small-sized, black, female, domestic shorthair kitty cat! I'm a sweet and kind girl who is looking for her forever home to create a beautiful life with. I'm a curious gal who likes to greet people the moment they enter my kitty condo, though I'm not necessarily a social butterfly. I let my inquisitive side lead me while observing and taking in the scenes around me. After my quick inspection, you'll see both my playful and loving side! Some days I'm all about my fave toys and others, I'm happy to just silently chill next to you and receive lots of gentle caresses against my soft fur. I'm kind of the best mix ever, don't you think? If you agree (which I'm sure you do), come on down to the shelter and let's meet so you can see all of my sides manifest in person!

2. Lucille
Young (1 year 6 months) · Female · Tabby / Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 16 mi from Berkeley

Adopt Lucille! Born around April 2025, beautiful Lucille gave birth to 4 kittens in April 2026, and the family was brought in from streets of Martinez shortly after. Lucille did a great job raising her kittens and is ready for her forever home. She has gorgeous eyes full of wonder and a slightly flat face; maybe she is part Scottish Fold.
Lucille loves cuddling people and being patted. She will approach you for pattings, curling and purring to show her happiness. She loves sleeping on your chest or in your lap. She would do best as an only cat but could get used to other cats with patience.

3. Aloisius
Adult (2 years 1 month) · Male · Tabby / Mixed · 6 mi from Berkeley

CASTRO VALLEY, CA: ALOISIUS (CP) is just the sweetest boy!! He was a very handsome young tomcat (meaning an adult male cat unneutered, with a big round head), when he was found and rescued as he was walking in an area known for coyotes.
Aloisius is a very tame cat, so it is likely someone was feeding him and tamed him down, but he was not microchipped and his owner could not be located. Aloisius is now safe and cared for in a foster home.
Read more about Aloisius
Aloisius is adorable and a total sweetheart, and he deserves his own loving indoor-only home. It is likely he would get along with children 8 years or older who are gentle and can move more slowly until he adjusts to his new family and environment.
Aloisius would do great in a home with another kitty, but probably not with dogs.
Aloisius was born in approximately September 2024. He is healthy, has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and is ready for his forever home!
If you are looking for a great, gentle companion for yourself and maybe your cat, you cannot go wrong with this sweet, precious and very handsome boy!
This is a Courtesy Post, and Aloisius is with Angus & Friends Cat Rescue in Castro Valley, California. For more information, please text Deborah at 510-909-4961. Visit their website at https://angusandfriendscatrescue.com.
Please Note: This cat has not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cat’s status with their rescue group and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.

13. Sadie
Adult (6 years 9 months) · Female · Domestic Medium Hair / Mixed (medium coat) · 7 mi from Berkeley

Beautiful and petite Sadie is a kitten at heart when it comes to her favorite toys in the world – pom pom balls! She delightfully bats and tosses them in the air without a care in the world. Let's just say that she is one very happy cat when her foster digs out the multiple pom pom balls that get stuck under furniture (a daily routine).
Read more about Sadie
Sadie's sweet personality shows when she greets you for pets by lowering her chin and offering you the top of her head for a gentle pat. She is a curious girl following you around, always interested in what's going on. Sadie warms up slowly to new people but once she bonds, she will be your devoted companion. She gets along with another cat but she would also be fine as an only pet. Dogs and children are untested but would likely do best in a home that is quiet and calm. We estimate that Sadie was born around January 2020. Kitty Bio 3876MB-Sa.

17. Meeko
Adult (2 years) · Male · Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · 21 mi from Berkeley

Hello friends, I am Meeko! I am a handsome, two year old, neutered gray tabby domestic short hair who is medium in size and is lookin for his forever home! I'm a sweet boy who can sometimes start off a bit timid as I like to take in all the sights and sounds around me before I can feel comfortable. Once I've settled, you'll see my affectionate and loving side come out as I rub against you for cheek and chin scratches on my adorable, cherub face. You might even find me crawling into your lap for some extra close bonding time. While I love seeking attention, I can also sometimes get a little overstimulated so I'm looking for a family who will understands when I need my space and me-time. Other days, I have a playful side that is itching to come out! I love playing with wand toys and pipe cleaners; it's a great way for me to get my energy out! I enjoy people, but am not always fond of other feline friends so I am looking for a forever home where I can be the only cat. Loud noises can also be a bit much for me so I would also do best in a household with teens and older if children are present. If you think we might be a good match, then come on down to the shelter so we can test out the waters and you can hopefully take me home with you! <3

20. Leo
Adult (7 years) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 6 mi from Berkeley

Leo was rescued from a park in August 2026. He was a young cat with a broken femur, probably from being hit by a car. Leo was a stray/unowned cat according to the neighbors. When we accepted him into our program he had a long road ahead of him. He was facing pain, uncertainty, and a future that no little cat should have to face alone.
But Leo was a fighter! With the help of his amazing veterinary team, he underwent surgery to repair his broken leg. It took time, care, and plenty of love, but this brave boy never gave up.
Read more about Leo
And now, look at him! Leo has healed, his difficult days are behind him, and he is finally ready for the next chapter of his life. No more struggling with an injury. No more uncertainty about what tomorrow will bring. Just the promise of a safe home, a soft bed, full food bowls, and someone who will love him forever.
Leo’s story is a beautiful reminder that sometimes, all it takes is a helping hand and a chance to change a life. Now, this sweet young boy needs one more miracle: a family of his very own.
Could you be the person who gives Leo the happily-ever-after he deserves? Someone to cherish him, spoil him, and make sure he never has to face the world alone again?
Leo was born in approximately October 2019. He has been fixed and is up to date on his shots. Leo would do great with children over 5 years. He has no experience with dogs as far as we know.

Junipurr (Juni) – A Shy Sweetheart with So Much Love to Give Hi there! My name is Junipurr, but you can call me Juni! I'm a sweet, gentle girl with stunning green eyes and a whole lot of love to give. I just need a little time to feel comfortable enough to show you. I was rescued from a feral cat colony in Fresno, and I've come a long way since then! I can be a little shy when meeting new people, so I appreciate a gentle approach and a little patience while I get to know you. Once I feel comfortable, my sweet, affectionate personality comes shining through. I absolutely adore pets and attention, and I have so much love to give! I'm a sensitive girl, so unfamiliar sounds and sudden movements can send me looking for a good hiding spot.

And trust me, I'm a professional hider! But with a little patience, some tasty treats, and gentle encouragement, I'll come out to say hello. Once I know I'm safe, my affectionate side really shines. I'm not a particularly high-energy kitty. I'd much rather curl up on your lap or settle into a cozy spot nearby and enjoy your company. I love rubbing my face against you, weaving around your legs, and soaking up all the pets I can get. When I'm feeling especially comfortable, I might even rub my face against yours and give you a few sweet kisses! I'll come when you call my name or pat your lap, too. Did I mention I'm a purring machine? I purr constantly when I'm happy, and I make the sweetest little trills and chirps to let you know how I'm feeling. My dream home would be a calm, quiet place where I can be your one and only kitty. I'd love a patient, understanding person who will give me the time I need to settle in. I also have some skin sensitivities, so I'm on a special novel protein diet that helps keep me comfortable and healthy. Concerned about me being FIV+? Don't be—there's lots of helpful information out there to put your mind at ease. I can live a long, healthy life, meow. If you'd like to learn more, here's a great resource from the Cornell University FIV Guide. I may take a little extra time to trust you, but once I do, you'll have a devoted, affectionate companion who will fill your days with purrs, chirps, and plenty of love. Could you be the special someone I've been waiting for? Follow my foster adventures on Instagram: @biscuitparty_ Rescued in Fresno. Fostered in San Francisco. We were born approximately August 13, 2026. We are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together. We are good with other cats and gentle children. We can placed as “foster-to-adopt” kittens until we have been fixed.

23. Six
Young (2 months 6 days) · Female · Extra-Toes Cat (Hemingway Polydactyl) / Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 14 mi from Berkeley

Hi, we’re Six (brown tabby) and Seven (calico) — great names, right?! We are bonded sisters, and we are both polydactyl kitties, which means we have extra toes! Our foster mom describes us as spunky, sweet and clever; and she adds that we love to eat!
We are being fostered with dogs, a cat and small children, and we are all getting along well. We sleep quietly through the night and are very good about using our litter box.
We were born approximately August 13, 2026. We are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together. We are good with other cats and gentle children. We can placed as “foster-to-adopt” kittens until we have been fixed.

25. Ollie
Young (4 months 15 days) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 14 mi from Berkeley

Hi, my name is Ollie, and I was rescued after being found all by myself in a parking lot without my mother or siblings. I am a sweet and observant boy. My foster mom says that I'm very calm, and we are working on my confidence. I really like to be in the same room as my human. When people come to my home they always tell me that I have extra-soft fur and pretty eyes. Some people say that I look like a little panther because I’m shiny and graceful!

I love my foster brothers and sisters -- I play with them all the time and we like to give each other baths. I try not to play too rough but I like to run around the family room! I've heard my mom tell people that if my forever home had another cat or two, I would fit in very well.
I was born approximately May 31, 2026. I have been fixed, vaccinated and microchipped, and am ready for my new, loving home!
This is a Courtesy Post, and Ollie is not with Angus & Friends Cat Rescue. He is with an independent rescuer in Alameda County, California. For more information about adopting Ollie, please contact Joanne at 510-303-9719 or at jfkeenan08@gmail.com.

26. Rascala
Young (7 months) · Female · Domestic Medium Hair (medium coat) · 21 mi from Berkeley

Good day pretty people, my name is Rascala! I am a 7 month old, spayed female, currently small-sized, brown tabby, domestic medium-hair kitty cat and it is so lovely to meet you! Lovely, but a little scary because as a shy girl, sometimes new faces and environments can be a little overwhelming for me. Nevertheless, I'm a sweetie pie of a girl who is still finding her way and is looking for a family who understands this and loves me all the same. While I'm currently on the shyer side, I know that with time and patience, I can be grow to become a more confident cat. Perhaps we can even snuggle and play together too? :) If you're willing to be patient and also appreciate taking things one step at at time, then come on down to the shelter to learn more about me. <3

Teddy’s name describes him perfectly. He’s a sweet, cuddly, loving kitten. He’s always been quick to open up to strangers. He’s confident and loves to explore and play. He loves cuddles, pets, and treats!
Most of the time Teddy’s love language is physical touch, and he’ll choose cuddles over a treat. The rest of the time, he’ll definitely go for the treat!

Why adopt an adult cat in Berkeley
An adult cat's personality is fully formed, so the rescue can tell you how they are with people, other pets and busy households. Many have lived in foster homes and are used to family life.
Grown cats are calmer and need less supervision than kittens, which suits people who work long hours or have young children.
