1. Aloisius
Adult (2 years 1 month) · Male · Tabby / Mixed · 20 mi from San Rafael

CASTRO VALLEY, CA: ALOISIUS (CP) is just the sweetest boy!! He was a very handsome young tomcat (meaning an adult male cat unneutered, with a big round head), when he was found and rescued as he was walking in an area known for coyotes.
Aloisius is a very tame cat, so it is likely someone was feeding him and tamed him down, but he was not microchipped and his owner could not be located. Aloisius is now safe and cared for in a foster home.
Read more about Aloisius
Aloisius is adorable and a total sweetheart, and he deserves his own loving indoor-only home. It is likely he would get along with children 8 years or older who are gentle and can move more slowly until he adjusts to his new family and environment.
Aloisius would do great in a home with another kitty, but probably not with dogs.
Aloisius was born in approximately September 2024. He is healthy, has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and is ready for his forever home!
If you are looking for a great, gentle companion for yourself and maybe your cat, you cannot go wrong with this sweet, precious and very handsome boy!
This is a Courtesy Post, and Aloisius is with Angus & Friends Cat Rescue in Castro Valley, California. For more information, please text Deborah at 510-909-4961. Visit their website at https://angusandfriendscatrescue.com.
Please Note: This cat has not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cat’s status with their rescue group and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.

6. Sadie
Adult (6 years 9 months) · Female · Domestic Medium Hair / Mixed (medium coat) · 19 mi from San Rafael

Beautiful and petite Sadie is a kitten at heart when it comes to her favorite toys in the world – pom pom balls! She delightfully bats and tosses them in the air without a care in the world. Let's just say that she is one very happy cat when her foster digs out the multiple pom pom balls that get stuck under furniture (a daily routine).
Read more about Sadie
Sadie's sweet personality shows when she greets you for pets by lowering her chin and offering you the top of her head for a gentle pat. She is a curious girl following you around, always interested in what's going on. Sadie warms up slowly to new people but once she bonds, she will be your devoted companion. She gets along with another cat but she would also be fine as an only pet. Dogs and children are untested but would likely do best in a home that is quiet and calm. We estimate that Sadie was born around January 2020. Kitty Bio 3876MB-Sa.

10. Leo
Adult (7 years) · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 20 mi from San Rafael

Leo was rescued from a park in August 2026. He was a young cat with a broken femur, probably from being hit by a car. Leo was a stray/unowned cat according to the neighbors. When we accepted him into our program he had a long road ahead of him. He was facing pain, uncertainty, and a future that no little cat should have to face alone.
But Leo was a fighter! With the help of his amazing veterinary team, he underwent surgery to repair his broken leg. It took time, care, and plenty of love, but this brave boy never gave up.
Read more about Leo
And now, look at him! Leo has healed, his difficult days are behind him, and he is finally ready for the next chapter of his life. No more struggling with an injury. No more uncertainty about what tomorrow will bring. Just the promise of a safe home, a soft bed, full food bowls, and someone who will love him forever.
Leo’s story is a beautiful reminder that sometimes, all it takes is a helping hand and a chance to change a life. Now, this sweet young boy needs one more miracle: a family of his very own.
Could you be the person who gives Leo the happily-ever-after he deserves? Someone to cherish him, spoil him, and make sure he never has to face the world alone again?
Leo was born in approximately October 2019. He has been fixed and is up to date on his shots. Leo would do great with children over 5 years. He has no experience with dogs as far as we know.
Leo is ready for love. Are you ready for Leo?

11. Junipurr aka Juni
Adult · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Tabby / Mixed · 15 mi from San Rafael

Junipurr (Juni) – A Shy Sweetheart with So Much Love to Give Hi there! My name is Junipurr, but you can call me Juni! I'm a sweet, gentle girl with stunning green eyes and a whole lot of love to give. I just need a little time to feel comfortable enough to show you. I was rescued from a feral cat colony in Fresno, and I've come a long way since then! I can be a little shy when meeting new people, so I appreciate a gentle approach and a little patience while I get to know you. Once I feel comfortable, my sweet, affectionate personality comes shining through. I absolutely adore pets and attention, and I have so much love to give! I'm a sensitive girl, so unfamiliar sounds and sudden movements can send me looking for a good hiding spot.

And trust me, I'm a professional hider! But with a little patience, some tasty treats, and gentle encouragement, I'll come out to say hello. Once I know I'm safe, my affectionate side really shines. I'm not a particularly high-energy kitty. I'd much rather curl up on your lap or settle into a cozy spot nearby and enjoy your company. I love rubbing my face against you, weaving around your legs, and soaking up all the pets I can get. When I'm feeling especially comfortable, I might even rub my face against yours and give you a few sweet kisses! I'll come when you call my name or pat your lap, too. Did I mention I'm a purring machine? I purr constantly when I'm happy, and I make the sweetest little trills and chirps to let you know how I'm feeling. My dream home would be a calm, quiet place where I can be your one and only kitty. I'd love a patient, understanding person who will give me the time I need to settle in. I also have some skin sensitivities, so I'm on a special novel protein diet that helps keep me comfortable and healthy. Concerned about me being FIV+? Don't be—there's lots of helpful information out there to put your mind at ease. I can live a long, healthy life, meow. If you'd like to learn more, here's a great resource from the Cornell University FIV Guide. I may take a little extra time to trust you, but once I do, you'll have a devoted, affectionate companion who will fill your days with purrs, chirps, and plenty of love. Could you be the special someone I've been waiting for? Follow my foster adventures on Instagram: @biscuitparty_ Rescued in Fresno. Fostered in San Francisco. I'm a little more reserved when meeting new people or exploring unfamiliar places, but once I feel comfortable, my sweet and playful personality shines through. 14. Jonesy
Young (8 months) · Male · Tuxedo / Mixed (short coat) · 19 mi from San Rafael

Jonesy — The Tuxedo Clown
Personality in 3 words: Playful, Loving, Silly
Best suited for: A home looking for a fun-loving companion and willing to give him a few days to settle in.
Meet Jonesy! Don't let the formal tuxedo fool you—Jonesy is a total goofball! He is a master entertainer who knows exactly how to steal the show. Once he gets to know you, his absolute favorite move is climbing right onto your chest and pressing his face against yours for some serious cuddle time. Whether he is chasing a feather wand at top speed or curled up like a little crescent moon in your lap, he is guaranteed to bring endless joy to your home.
Read more about Jonesy
My Favorite Things:
Toy of Choice: The Cat Dancer! I will chase this as long and as fast as you can wave it around.
Nap Spot: Curled up on a soft blanket right on the couch.
Fun Quirk: I like to give the cutest little "trills" whenever I walk into a room to greet my humans!
Social Life: Jonesy has been a star in his foster home! He gets along wonderfully with other cats and is making great progress learning that strangers are just future friends who haven't handed over treats yet. He is already fully litter box trained and ready for his big adventure.
The Ideal Home: Jonesy would love a home where he gets plenty of playtime and affection. Because he still has that awesome 10-month-old kitten energy, he would thrive if adopted with a buddy or into a home that already has a playful feline friend to keep him company. He just needs a few days to adjust to his new environment, but he will reward your patience with a lifetime of love and silly antics.
We estimate he was born January 13, 2016. Kitty Bio #16566JBJo.

I love being held and cuddled, and you can even hold me like a baby! I also enjoy chatting with my people. I'm a talkative little girl, but don't worry, I'm not loud. I just like to have a little conversation now and then! I'm curious, playful, and full of love, and once I feel comfortable, you'll discover just how sweet and affectionate I can be. Better Together! We've spent our kittenhood growing up together, playing, exploring, and keeping each other company. We've formed a special bond, and we want to spend the rest of our lives side by side. We both love chasing toys, playing together, and enjoying all the good things kitten life has to offer—especially canned food and treats! We're looking for a loving forever home where we can continue our adventures together. We're a bonded pair and must be adopted together. With Ava's adventurous spirit and love of lap time and Squeekie's sweet purrs and playful personality, you'll get double the love, double the fun, and twice the cuddles! 17. Ariel
Young · Female · Domestic Medium Hair · 15 mi from San Rafael

Ariel – The Sweet Songbird with a Playful Heart Hi! I'm Ariel, though my foster family affectionately calls me "Ms. Purr." I always have something to say and I'm never shy about announcing when I've arrived! If you talk to me, I'll happily sing right back. Whether I'm asking for attention or reminding everyone that it's treat time, I love having little conversations with my people. I'm currently in foster with my brother, Banjo, and I definitely make sure everyone knows if he's getting treats or attention before I am! When I'm not chatting, you'll usually find me chasing wand toys, batting around little mice, or pouncing on anything that moves.

After I've finished playing, I love curling up on my favorite cozy blanket tucked behind a mirror, where I can enjoy a peaceful nap in my own little hideaway. People often notice my luxurious, silky black coat first, but it's my gentle, playful personality that really shines once you get to know me. I enjoy gentle pets once I get to know you, and I'm looking for a family that will let me settle in at my own pace. The more comfortable I become, the more my playful personality and cheerful songs come out. Banjo and I have a great time chasing each other around the house, but we don't have to be adopted together. I'd be happy to go home with my brother or start my next adventure with a family of my own. I was rescued in partnership with ACT Stockton S/N Clinic, and now I'm ready to find my forever home. 20. Prince
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair · 15 mi from San Rafael

Prince – A Gentle Soul Looking for My Second Chance Hello! I'm Prince, and my journey to San Francisco began thousands of miles away in Qatar. I once had a family, but when they left the country, they left me behind to survive on the streets—a place I was never meant to call home. Thankfully, a kind rescuer took me in and made sure I could travel all the way to San Francisco for a chance at the forever family I've always deserved. If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I absolutely love people. My favorite place is wherever you are! I'll happily follow you from room to room, stroll over wherever you're sitting, flop onto my side, and wait for pets.

I love cuddling up next to my humans, soaking up affection, and making every visitor feel like an old friend. I'm confident, outgoing, and I've never met a stranger—I think everyone is a potential new best friend! Even after everything I've been through, I've never stopped trusting people. I'm not mischievous or demanding. I'm just a sweet, easygoing boy who's happiest spending time with the people I love. While I was living on the streets, I injured the area above my right eye, which left me with a scar. The good news is my eye wasn't damaged at all, and the scar is purely cosmetic. I think it just adds a little character to my handsome face! Concerned about me being FIV+? Don't be—there's lots of helpful information out there to put your mind at ease. I can live a long, healthy life, meow. If you'd like to learn more, here's a great resource from the Cornell University FIV Guide. I've decided I'd really love to be your one and only feline companion. That means I get all the attention, all the snuggles, and all the love—and trust me, I'll return it tenfold. After losing my first home, I'm hoping my next one will be forever. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will greet you with love, curl up beside you after a long day, and remind you every day just how special the bond between a person and a cat can be, I think we might be the perfect match. 21. Elastigirl
Adult · Female · Domestic Short Hair / Tabby / Mixed · 15 mi from San Rafael

Elastigirl — Your Constant Companion for Life's Everyday Adventures Hi, I'm Elastigirl! I almost didn't get my second chance. I was rescued from euthanasia at Stockton Animal Shelter, where I had become a volunteer favorite. Everyone who met me knew I was a special girl, and now I'm hoping to find the family who will love me forever. I'm the kind of cat who wants to be part of everything you do. Folding laundry? I'm there. Organizing a drawer? I'll supervise. Opening a box? I need to inspect it immediately. Wherever my people are, that's exactly where I want to be. I'm an exceptionally calm, confident, and curious girl who's nearly impossible to rattle.

Fireworks? Vacuum cleaners? Visitors? None of that bothers me much. Instead of hiding, I'm usually the first one to investigate what's going on. I also come when I'm called because spending time with my people is one of my favorite things. I form deep bonds with the people I love. I'll happily greet you at the door with my signature enthusiastic meow and be ready to hear all about your day. At bedtime, you'll usually find me sleeping beside you—or sometimes right on top of you. While I'm not much of a lap cat and prefer not to be carried, I absolutely love gentle scratches between my ears, along my cheeks, and down my back. I'll close my eyes, lean right into your hand, and soak up every second. My biggest purrs are reserved for making biscuits on a cozy blanket while cuddled up next to my favorite person. Playtime is where I truly shine. Wand toys are my absolute favorite, and I love chasing, jumping, pouncing, wrestling toys, and showing off my athletic moves. Interactive play is how I connect with my people, so I'm hoping to find a family that enjoys playing as much as I do. If I think you've been ignoring me for too long, I may follow you around, chat with you, or even give your ankle a gentle little tap to remind you it's time for another play session. I'm wonderfully easy to live with, too. I'm very tidy, use my litter box perfectly, groom myself beautifully, and don't leave much fur behind. I'm not especially food motivated, although I never turn down a Churu! My favorite meals are wet food mixed with extra water into a nice, soupy consistency. I do have a chronic upper respiratory condition that causes adorable little snuffles and noisy breathing. My rescue team even had a nasal scope performed to look for a treatable cause, but no nasal polyp was found. While you may occasionally notice a little nasal discharge, it's simply part of who I am. My happy snorts and sniffles make it extra easy to know when I'm excited to see you! Concerned about me being FIV+? Don’t be—there’s lots of helpful information out there to put your mind at ease. I can live a long, healthy life, meow. If you’d like to learn more, here’s a great resource from Cornell University FIV Guide. I'd do best in an active home with plenty of everyday activity. I would likely become bored in a very quiet home, but if you're looking for a cat who wants to be your sidekick through every project, every chore, and every cozy evening, I think we're going to make a wonderful team. I can't wait to meet you! Rescued from euthanasia at Stockton Animal Shelter. 30. Tucker
Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair / Tabby / Mixed · 15 mi from San Rafael

Tucker — A Resilient Survivor with the Sweetest Heart Hi, I'm Tucker. For a long time, I didn't know what it felt like to be safe. I survived outside by myself, where other cats constantly bullied me, chased me away from food and shelter, and left me with scratches and injuries. I was always hungry, always exhausted, and always looking over my shoulder. The saddest part? Even after everything, I still wanted people. I still wanted someone to love me. When I eventually showed up with a badly injured front paw, my rescuers knew I couldn't keep surviving on my own. That's when they discovered I'd originally been trapped at an encampment in Oakland and relocated through a working cat program for rodent control.
Read more about Tucker
Somehow, I had survived on my own for months before finally finding the backyard where someone noticed I needed help. Thankfully, those days are behind me. Now that I've had time to settle into a foster home, everyone is discovering what a truly special boy I am. I'm incredibly affectionate and absolutely adore head scratches, belly rubs, and spending time with my people. One of my favorite things is sneaking into bed in the middle of the night for a few quiet cuddles and gentle pats before drifting back to sleep. I also have a wonderfully playful side. Wave a wand toy, toss me a ball, and I'm ready to play for as long as you are. As my confidence has grown, I've started exploring more of the house during the day and have even found my voice—I love chatting with my foster family when I think it's time for another play session or a little extra attention. I'm still learning that the world is a safe place, so quick movements can surprise me. But the sweetest part is that I always come right back. Every day I become a little braver, a little more relaxed, and a little more convinced that people are pretty wonderful. Because of my past, I'll do best with someone patient who understands that trust takes time. I also appreciate when people listen to my signals during petting. If I've had enough, I'll give you a gentle tap with my paw to let you know it's time for a little break. I'm simply learning that I don't have to be afraid anymore—I can trust my person to understand me. One other thing to know about me: after everything I'd been through living outside, my tummy needed a little extra care. I've been eating a prescription diet while my foster family helped get my digestive system back on track, and I'm doing so much better! I'm now starting the transition back to a regular diet, though my future family should keep an eye on my tummy and work with their veterinarian if any sensitivities pop up again. Concerned about me being FIV+? Don't be! Cats with FIV can live long, happy, healthy lives, and there's lots of great information out there to put your mind at ease. If you'd like to learn more, here's a great resource from Cornell University. After everything I've endured, I've discovered that what I wanted all along wasn't freedom—it was a family. A warm bed. A full belly. Someone to curl up beside at 3 a.m. because I finally know I'll still be loved when I wake up. Maybe that someone is you.
