In addition to being friendly, I am affectionate and enyoy being held and cuddled. Some people might say I am the purrfect cat, so I expect to find my forever home very, very soon. Hi, my name is Taylor. I was left behind when my person moved, and I spent weeks hanging out in a backyard. She noticed something strange on my nose and was not sure whether it was an injury or an infection, but she did not want it to get worse, so she brought me to SBACC. The vet checked me out and even did a skin biopsy, which showed no parasitic infections, but they said I probably had flea or other insect bites. It is taking me a little while to get used to life at SBACC, and I am just starting to emerge from the cubby that I have been hiding in. I am a really friendly cat, and I like people and pets. I am not looking my best right now because of my nose injury, but it is starting to get better, and I know I will be looking great pretty soon. I am hoping for a forever home before the holidays.

Meet Lovely Lola
Lovely Lola is a beautiful, dainty young girl, only about 10–12 months old, with the sweetest, most gentle personality. She has the most interesting markings…looks like 2 equal size triangles down her sides.
Lola’s story began on a rainy October night in Long Beach, where we found her living underneath a car. She was dirty, hungry and trying to survive on the streets. The moment we opened a can of food, she came running. She ate hungrily, then began rubbing against us as if she knew she had finally found someone who would help her.
Of course, there was no way we could leave her there.
We brought Lola home, gave her a nice warm bath and started giving her the full works — ear cleaning, nail trim, deworming, flea treatment, vaccines and microchipping — getting this little girl healthy, clean and ready for her spay.
And that’s when we discovered just how lovely Lola really is. ❤️
As soon as we brought her home from the vet, Lola began purring and rubbing against us. It almost seemed as though she was thanking us for helping her. After surviving outside in an area where life can be very hard for stray cats, she somehow remained incredibly trusting, affectionate and sweet.
Lola is an absolute love. Just watch her video and you’ll immediately see what we’re talking about. She is a precious, dainty, quiet little girl who will make some very lucky person or family a wonderful companion. She loves affection and will happily shower her person with purrs, rubs and love.
Lola seems comfortable around other cats and dogs. Because she has such a gentle, quieter personality, we think she would be happiest in a relatively calm home without young children, where she can relax, feel safe and blossom.

Pearly Girl is our newest rescue, and she is an absolute little sweetheart.
This beautiful, dainty white-and-tabby girl is about a year old, with gorgeous green eyes, the prettiest pink nose, and the most adorable little black beauty mark beside her nose. As if she needed anything else to make that little face irresistible!
Pearly Girl came to us when a homeless man who could no longer keep her was about to leave her on the streets. Somehow he found us, and there was simply no way we could turn this sweet girl away.
She is gentle, affectionate, playful, and incredibly loving. She’s a true little lap cat who loves cuddles, curling up beside you, and even burrowing under the covers in bed with you, purring away.

Hi, I’m Eclair! I’m a shy little tuxedo girl, but once you get to know me, I promise I’ll steal your heart! I love playing with other cats, especially my siblings, so having a kitty friend would make me so happy. Treats and snacks are definitely the way to my heart! I’m also quite the talker when I’m hungry, and when I’m not playing or asking for snacks, you can usually find me soaking up the sunshine.

Sadly, one of them did not survive, but the other five have grown into happy, healthy kittens and will soon be ready for their forever homes. I took very good care of my kittens, but I am now done with motherhood and ready to be loved and pampered in my own home. My foster Mom says that I am the sweetest cat you will ever meet. Hi, my name is Lenore Dove, and I am a survivor. I had been abused, but luckily I was rescued and brought to SBACC. Someone who feeds feral cats found me. I had been dumped in a colony of ferals, and she knew I was in bad shape and did not belong there. I had a severely damaged eye that ruptured and had to be removed, and I had bruising on my abdomen and chest that looked like I had been kicked. I also had sores and scabs on my neck and head. I am a bit shy and timid, but I warm up quickly to quiet, gentle people. The people who care for me at SBACC say I am very sweet. I am hoping to find a home where I will be safe and loved forever and ever.

Hi, my name is Henna. I was rescued from an abandoned property along with my two kittens. They went to a foster home, but I stayed at SBACC. I was not in very good shape. I had a severely damaged eye that had to be removed, and I have a significant head tilt. Some specialists have checked it out, and they think it’s due to an ear infection and some inner ear issues. It might be with me forever. Despite this, I am a very friendly girl and a ball of energy. I am hoping for a forever home, and I would probably do best as an only cat.

Wizard was born into a colony that just kept growing. Thankfully, a smart neighbor began helping TNR to stop the breeding and foster the babies. Wizard has had hands on from the beginning and is such a wonderful guy! He is silly, playful and social, not to mention beautiful with his long fur! Willow was born into a colony that was breeding out of control. The "owners" didn't realize how big of a problem not getting a few cats fixed could be or how fast they can multiply. A concerned neighbor approached them about TNR and helped them get the entire colony fixed and fostered the kittens. Willow is one of those lucky kittens who will know life off the streets!

Willow loves to hang on your arm and play with her siblings all day long. She's a hit at adoptions with her siblings and she is so super sweet. She loves to be doted on and is just a love to have around.

Princess Polly has already beaten the odds, and now she's ready for the happy ending she deserves.

Princess Polly is a petite, gentle girl. When she first appeared, she was severely emaciated, with her bones visibly protruding from starvation. We weren't sure she would survive, but this little fighter proved just how resilient she is. Thanks to lots of love, care, and good food, Princess Polly has made an incredible recovery and is now ready to find her forever home.

Jebediah is the absolutely sweetest boy who loves to snuggle, talk and give kisses. The ultimate loverboy, he is very gentle, food motivated and happy to be off the streets. Meet Marmont, a breathtaking Chartreux mix with a heart as grand as his handsome frame. On the 4th of July, Marmont’s life changed forever when he was left abandoned in the bushes alongside an empty carrier and a few empty cat food cans. Terrified, unfixed, and severely underweight, this resilient boy mustered up all his courage and ran straight out of the bushes looking for human help. Since that fateful day, Marmont has been steadily gaining weight, gaining confidence, and discovering what it feels like to be truly safe and cherished.
