1. Celeste

Kitten (3 months 27 days) · Female · Tabby (short coat) · 15 mi from Milpitas

Born July 2026

Celeste will instantly hook you with her darling fuzzy cheeks & gentle purrs. She is from a litter of lucky polydactyl kittens who all have dazzling personalities.

Celeste and her siblings didn’t always appear so lucky. They were brought to us severely malnourished with terrible respiratory infections & other medical concerns. With weeks of careful monitoring & medications, they recovered beautifully. Of course, our efforts were only half the battle. These brave & determined sweethearts showed tremendous strength & courage throughout.

Read more about Celeste

Celeste is gentle yet very energetic. She enjoys jumping over your legs while you watch your shows and is very respectful of your work. She loves to receive affection & enjoys nap piles with her siblings. The best of times is when you bust out the feather wand though!

Due to her young age, she must be adopted with another kitten if there is not another kitten or very playful young adult in the home.

If you’re ready for an unforgettable fluffy ball to join your family, fill out our adoption questionnaire so you can meet her and learn more.

she is speed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines.

6. Pipa

Young (10 months) · Female · Tabby (short coat) · 15 mi from Milpitas

Meet Pipa – The Mama of Every Heart

If love had a face, it would be Pipa’s. Born 11/25/25

Pipa is, without a doubt, the most loving and gentle foster kitty we have ever had the pleasure of knowing. We have never even heard her hiss! She has the sweetest soul and a heart big enough for absolutely everyone. Every time a new foster kitty arrives, Pipa is right there to welcome them. She is everybody’s mama, and she takes that job very seriously!

Read more about Pipa

She’s the mama to our 110-pound foster dog, the mama to our 15-year-old boy, and the little guardian angel who comes running whenever someone is getting into trouble, as if to say, “Hey, hey! Leave them alone! They didn’t mean it!”

Pipa loves nothing more than cuddling up with her humans for a cozy movie night. She’ll be waiting to greet you when you come home, and wherever you go, you can be sure she’ll want to know what you’re doing. She likes to be part of everything! And don't let all that motherly love fool you — Pipa also loves to play and has a fun, playful side that makes her even more wonderful.

Pipa does have chronic sniffles, which means she’ll likely have some sniffles and sneezes for the rest of her life. It’s simply part of her, and it doesn't take away from the enormous amount of love she has to give.

Now, this special girl deserves something just as beautiful as the love she gives everyone else: a forever family of her very own. A family who will welcome her into their hearts, cherish her gentle nature, enjoy movie-night cuddles, and let her be the loving little mama she was born to be.

If you're looking for a kitty who will greet you at the door, follow you around, keep you company, make you laugh, and fill your home with unconditional love, Pipa might just be your girl.

She has spent so much time being everyone else's mama. Isn't it time someone became hers?

Pipa must be adopted into a home with other kittens or a playful cat. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines.

7. Teddy

Adult (4 years 7 months) · Male · Exotic Shorthair (short coat) · 12 mi from Milpitas

Meet Teddy!

Teddy is a 4.5-year-old neutered male Exotic Shorthair looking for his forever home.

He may be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly and becomes a sweet, affectionate companion. He’s a smart little guy who loves having people around and isn’t shy about meowing when he wants attention. He has his own way of communicating with us, and it’s pretty adorable!

Because of his tiny nose, softer food can be easier for him to eat, although he definitely shows interest in dry food, too.

Teddy would love a home where he gets lots of love, attention, and company.

Read more about Teddy

One important note: we don’t recommend Teddy for a home with a history of cat allergies, as we want to avoid putting him or his future family through that uncertainty.

If you think Teddy might be the one for you, please help us learn more about you and your household by filling out our online application: www.tinyurl.com/AdoptMeow. Let’s find this sweet boy the loving forever home he deserves.

8. Orange Juice

Young · Male · Domestic Short Hair · 8 mi from Milpitas

Like any orange boy, OJ has a penchant for mischief. He's starved for affection, and for food. He'll never say no to wet food, and will immediately sniff out your snacks. Because he's only recently learned to live in a home, OJ has an occasional habit of sometimes urinating on soft surfaces like beds despite being litter box trained. Will need a prepared adopter ready to address this issue if needed. He needs some reassurance and patience, but once he's settled in and gets to know you, he enjoys taking up space on your lap or by your side. Orange Juice (OJ) and his mate Clementine belonged to a small group of sociable stray cats in my neighborhood.

Read more about Orange Juice

They'd sleep and play around the children's playground structure in front of my house. Because the HOA does not allow for residents to be seen feeding them, they were not allowed to stay as community cats and were at risk of having Animal Control being called to capture and likely euthanize them. OJ is likely a father, and has at least 2 other orange kittens that had already been adopted by a fellow neighbor. He'd occasionally go to visit them by peeking through the neighbors screen door. For anybody interested in adopting him - this would be a great friendship opportunity with the other cat owners so that this small group of cats could stay connected. He needs some reassurance and patience, but once he's settled in and gets to know you, he enjoys taking up space on your lap or by your side. Gets along great with other cats, and doesn't enjoy being alone. Orange Juice is currently living in Union City, CA 94587 For more information & an online application go to https://www.peninsulacatworks.org/adoption/cat.php?id=2320 [ts=1793257240&src=rg]

9. Seven

Young (2 months 6 days) · Female · Extra-Toes Cat (Hemingway Polydactyl) / Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · 25 mi from Milpitas

Hi, we’re Seven (calico) and Six (brown tabby) — great names, right?! We are bonded sisters, and we are both polydactyl kitties, which means we have extra toes! Our foster mom describes us as spunky, sweet and clever; and she adds that we love to eat!

We are being fostered with dogs, a cat and small children, and we are all getting along well. We sleep quietly through the night and are very good about using our litter box.

We were born approximately August 13, 2026. We are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together. We are good with other cats and gentle children. We can placed as “foster-to-adopt” kittens until we have been fixed.

11. Grey

Kitten · Female · Domestic Short Hair · 8 mi from Milpitas

Meet Grey, a truly extraordinary feline with extra toes and an extra big heart! Grey is a polydactyl kitty—yes, she boasts six adorable toes on her paws—and she uses every single one of them to steal the hearts of everyone she meets. If you are looking for a world-class snuggler, Grey is your girl. She is exceptionally affectionate and lives for human connection. Her favorite activities include cuddling up close, purring like a tiny motor, making enthusiastic biscuits with her multi-toed paws, and sleeping right by your side every single night. Grey isn't just a total cuddle bug; she’s also a bright, playful soul.

Read more about Grey

Exceptionally smart, she has an uncanny ability to understand human emotions and language, often tuning into your voice and routine like a sweet little shadow. When she isn't busy soaking up love or keeping you company, she’s happily engaging in playtime or making friends—she gets along wonderfully with other cats and thrives in a friendly, interactive environment. Grey’s journey began this past July in a North San Jose parking lot. She wandered into a managed colony of fixed cats, clearly looking for a little help. When rescuers trapped her for TNR, a vigilant caregiver noticed her paw was bleeding right before her release. Plans changed instantly—she went home with her foster mom to heal and see if indoor life suited her. It turns out, home life suits her brilliantly! Behind those initial street-cat nerves, this sweet four-month-old revealed a remarkably affectionate, purr-heavy heart and a playful side that keeps her foster family entertained. With her charming personality, Grey could potentially fit in any home. Grey is a special polydactyl kitten who was born with extra toes on all four paws! One extra toe on her hind paw grew downward, which kept her foot from resting flat and meant she had to walk on her tiptoes or the side of her paw. Thanks to the incredible team at Peninsula Catworks, Grey had surgery to safely remove the problematic toe. She sailed through her recovery, and today she’s running, jumping, and playing just like any other happy kitten! Grey is currently living in San Jose, CA 95131 Please note:Grey is polydactyl. Young (6 months) · Female · Tabby (short coat) · 15 mi from Milpitas

Born March 28, 2029

Spayed, Microchipped & Up to date on vaccines

Negative for FIV/FeLV/Heartworm

Great with kids, cats and dogs!

Ruby is pure joy in kitten form. She is all-in on play, chasing laser dots, batting wand toys, attacking automatic toys across the room, and staging wrestling matches whenever a playmate is around. Zoomies are part of the daily routine, and she wants you right in the middle of it. Follow her from room to room and she will follow you right back.

Flash a bag of freeze-dried minnows and you have her full attention. She is also not above claiming an unseasoned bite of steak if you look away for a second.

Read more about Ruby

Under the sparkle, she is remarkably chill about real life. Sounds and music do not faze her. When the vacuum comes out, she hops onto the cat tree and treats it like entertainment. She loves being brushed and handles a busy household with easy confidence. She is curious about other cats, polite when she says hello, and good at doing her own thing. She has shared a foster home with cats and dogs and fits right in.

Ruby is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and has been healthy and thriving since the beginning. She is ready for a home that likes high-energy play and a cat who wants to be part of it.

Born: 03/28/26

Neutered

Microchipped

Up to date on vaccines

Neg for FIV/FeLv/Heartworm

Ron walked into the world already sure of himself. He was the confident little alpha of the litter, and once he decided humans were worth befriending, everyone else followed his lead. That same easy confidence is still his trademark.

His days are built around play.

Read more about Ron

Laser dots, wand toys, and automatic toys all get the full treatment, and zoomies are a daily event, sometimes hourly. He will follow you from room to room just for the chance to join in, and a bag of freeze-dried minnows turns him into a devoted shadow. Leave an unseasoned piece of steak unattended and he will help himself.

All that energy comes with surprisingly good household manners. He is used to music and everyday noise, and when the vacuum comes out he hops onto the cat tree and watches the show. He loves being brushed and handles a busy home with total ease. In foster care he has lived with other cats and dogs, says a polite hello, then reads the room and does his own thing.

Ron is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and has been healthy and thriving from the start. He would love a home that can keep up with his play style and enjoy the show.

Read more about Bugsy & Lolita

Bugsy is a fluffy little mischief maker who loves to play fight with just about anyone who moves. If he loses the game, that's the only time you'll hear a complaint. But most of the time, he's too busy being adorable. When playtime ends, he melts into a cuddly ball of fluff, happy to chill nearby. If you're looking for a kitten with both spunk and sweetness, Bugsy's definitely your guy.

Lolita is a sweet chatterbox who always lets you know exactly what she wants when she wants it. Whether it's food, playtime, or cuddles, she'll tell you. Sometimes she even climbs up your leg just to get into your arms even if you're wearing shorts. She loves to follow her people around and play with her 100-pound foster dog buddy. At bedtime she'll snuggle close for cozy cuddles. And when the mood strikes, she is all in for play fighting too. If you're looking for a talkative, affectionate kitten with lots of personality, Lolita is ready to make herself at home with you.

Both kittens are great with other cats, dogs and kids!

21. ms.marvel

Kitten (3 months 19 days) · Female · Tabby / Domestic Long Hair / Mixed (long coat) · 9 mi from Milpitas

Ms Marvel is a long furred beauty who is wise, gentle girl. She’s pure kitten when it comes to playing and she is all in with her sisters, wrestling and chasing each other until they drop. She loves a fuzzy worm toy and will chase a spring across the floor until it disappears into the void that cat toys retreat to, then come back to find her next subject.
This sensitive girl gets along well with other cats and knows how to approach them gently and carefully. She understands how to just be still while others adjust. There’s a very smart princess under all that fluff- she lives up to her name. She’s an exceptional kitty for someone who can appreciate her old soul energy. And when she’s not taking care of all those around her, you can find her curled up close, resting up for another episode of play and kitten mayhem. The best of both worlds.

22. Ebony

Young · Female · Domestic Medium Hair · 8 mi from Milpitas

Ebony is a really sweet kitty looking for her forever home. She’s still fairly young and active and when she gets the zoomies, watch out! She spends the majority of her days resting and looking out the windows, but she also enjoys playing with laser toys, wand toys, and anything that moves. Ebony enjoys pets and comes up to cuddle when she feels like it, but she is not a clingy cat. Her personality combined with her soft fur makes her a lovely companion for anyone. Ebony was found on the streets of San Jose with her litter of four kittens. I took them in soon after when the kittens were around four weeks old and she took care of them until we adopted out the kittens at 8 and 12 weeks.

Read more about Ebony

Now she’s looking for her forever family to relax after raising a rambunctious litter. Ebony would do well in multiple different home environments. Her playfulness would do well with kids over the age of three, but her sweet side would also compliment someone with a slower pace. She also gets along with all of the cats that I have fostered, so I know she’ll do well with any cat she meets. No special needs. She is now spayed and has been dewormed and treated for fleas. Her only quirk is that she really loves human food, but she’s not in your face about it. She waits patiently for you to finish and will take any scraps that you’ll give her. I’ve been avoiding giving her most food and just let her have a few licks of my plate, but I’m sure that can be trained out of her. 24. Drew

Adult · Male · Domestic Short Hair · 8 mi from Milpitas

-Loves to cuddle. He will come on to my bed at night and routinely wait for me to lift my arm!! He's a cuddler - Does not mind wherever you pet him, he especially loves belly scratches. - Loves staring outside - First to pick a fight with another cat I adopted my cat about four to five years ago, and he has been part of our family ever since. He was kept strictly indoors for most of his life and was always cared for as an indoor cat. Over time, he started going outside. Unfortunately, this eventually led to him bringing fleas into the house, which also affected our other cat. My mom is already allergic to cats, and the ongoing flea problem has made it difficult for us to safely and comfortably keep both cats in our home.

Read more about Drew

This has been a really difficult decision because I care about him deeply and never wanted to give him up. He is now in need of a new home where he can be properly cared for and given the attention and stability he deserves. I want to make sure he goes somewhere safe rather than simply putting him outside or leaving him without proper care. My hope is that he can find a loving home or rescue that understands his situation and can help him get settled again. Ideally, clean and safe. Drew doesn't mind anyone's existence whether it's a baby crying or a dog sleeping on his bed. Sweet Sam is strong, resilient, and kind. For a kitty that has had a rough start, she has only softness and love to give.

Adrienne is one of the sweetest most gentle kittens to date. Adrienne has a quiet charm that burns like the soothing glow of candle at night.

Adrienne would do well in a calm home with or without other kitties. Small, calm dogs are okay.

Bringing a cat home to your dog

Tell the rescue about your dog: their size, age and energy. A cat who has lived with a calm dog may still be nervous around a bouncy puppy.

Introduce them slowly. Keep the cat in a room of their own for the first few days, swap bedding so they get used to each other's scent, and then let them meet with the dog on a leash.

Make sure the cat can always get somewhere the dog can't reach, and keep the litter box and food bowls out of the dog's way.
